Hamas Covenant 1988
The Covenant
of the
Islamic Resistance Movement
18 August 1988

In The Name Of The Most Merciful Allah

"Ye are the best nation that hath been raised up unto mankind: ye command that which is just, and ye forbid that which is unjust, and ye believe in Allah. And if they who have received the scriptures had believed, it had surely been the better for them: there are believers among them, but the greater part of them are transgressors. They shall not hurt you, unless with a slight hurt; and if they fight against you, they shall turn their backs to you, and they shall not be helped. They are smitten with vileness wheresoever they are found; unless they obtain security by entering into a treaty with Allah, and a treaty with men; and they draw on themselves indignation from Allah, and they are afflicted with poverty. This they suffer, because they disbelieved the signs of Allah, and slew the prophets unjustly; this, because they were rebellious, and transgressed." (Al-Imran - verses 109-111).
Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

"The Islamic world is on fire. Each of us should pour some water, no matter how little, to extinguish whatever one can without waiting for the others." (Sheikh Amjad al-Zahawi, of blessed memory).

In The Name Of The Most Merciful Allah

Introduction
Praise be unto Allah, to whom we resort for help, and whose forgiveness, guidance and support we seek; Allah bless the Prophet and grant him salvation, his companions and supporters, and to those who carried out his message and adopted his laws - everlasting prayers and salvation as long as the earth and heaven will last. Hereafter:

O People:
Out of the midst of troubles and the sea of suffering, out of the palpitations of faithful hearts and cleansed arms; out of the sense of duty, and in response to Allah's command, the call has gone out rallying people together and making them follow the ways of Allah, leading them to have determined will in order to fulfill their role in life, to overcome all obstacles, and surmount the difficulties on the way. Constant preparation has continued and so has the readiness to sacrifice life and all that is precious for the sake of Allah.

Thus it was that the nucleus (of the movement) was formed and started to pave its way through the tempestuous sea of hopes and expectations, of wishes and yearnings, of troubles and obstacles, of pain and challenges, both inside and outside.

When the idea was ripe, the seed grew and the plant struck root in the soil of reality, away from passing emotions, and hateful haste. The Islamic Resistance Movement emerged to carry out its role through striving for the sake of its Creator, its arms intertwined with those of all the fighters for the liberation of Palestine. The spirits of its fighters meet with the spirits of all the fighters who have sacrificed their lives on the soil of Palestine, ever since it was conquered by the companions of the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, and until this day.

This Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), clarifies its picture, reveals its identity, outlines its stand, explains its aims, speaks about its hopes, and calls for its support, adoption and joining its ranks. Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious. It needs all sincere efforts. It is a step that inevitably should be followed by other steps. The Movement is but one squadron that should be supported by more and more squadrons from this vast Arab and Islamic world, until the enemy is vanquished and Allah's victory is realised.

Thus we see them coming on the horizon "and you shall learn about it hereafter" "Allah hath written, Verily I will prevail, and my apostles: for Allah is strong and mighty." (The Dispute - verse 21).

"Say to them, This is my way: I invite you to Allah, by an evident demonstration; both I and he who followeth me; and, praise be unto Allah! I am not an idolator." (Joseph - verse 107).
Hamas (means) strength and bravery -(according to) Al-Mua'jam al-Wasit: c1.

Article Seven:

As a result of the fact that those Moslems who adhere to the ways of the Islamic Resistance Movement spread all over the world, rally support for it and its stands, strive towards enhancing its struggle, the Movement is a universal one. It is well-equipped for that because of the clarity of its ideology, the nobility of its aim and the loftiness of its objectives.

On this basis, the Movement should be viewed and evaluated, and its role be recognised. He who denies its right, evades supporting it and turns a blind eye to facts, whether intentionally or unintentionally, would awaken to see that events have overtaken him and with no logic to justify his attitude. One should certainly learn from past examples.

The injustice of next-of-kin is harder to bear than the smite of the Indian sword.

"We have also sent down unto thee the book of the Koran with truth, confirming that scripture which was revealed before it; and preserving the same safe from corruption. Judge therefore between them according to that which Allah hath revealed; and follow not their desires, by swerving from the truth which hath come unto thee. Unto every of you have we given a law, and an open path; and if Allah had pleased, he had surely made you one people; but he hath thought it fit to give you different laws, that he might try you in that which he hath given you respectively. Therefore strive to excel each other in good works; unto Allah shall ye all return, and then will he declare unto you that concerning which ye have disagreed." (The Table, verse 48).

The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders. It goes back to 1939, to the emergence of the martyr Izz al-Din al Kissam and his brethren the fighters, members of Moslem Brotherhood. It goes on to reach out and become one with another chain that includes the struggle of the Palestinians and Moslem Brotherhood in the 1948 war and the Jihad operations of the Moslem Brotherhood in 1968 and after.

Moreover, if the links have been distant from each other and if obstacles, placed by those who are the lackeys of Zionism in the way of the fighters obstructed the continuation of the struggle, the Islamic Resistance Movement aspires to the realisation of Allah's promise, no matter how long that should take. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said:

"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Moslem).

The Slogan of the Islamic Resistance Movement:

Article Eight:

Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.

You're on a roll today, aren't you? Haha.

Do you happen to be an Israeli university student?

Israel wants to pay university students to post pro-Israel messages on social media networks, and officials say they won't need to identify themselves as government -linked.

The Israeli prime minister's office said in a statement Wednesday that students would receive scholarships to engage international audiences online to combat anti-Semitism and calls to boycott Israel. It said students' messages would parallel statements by government spokespeople.

Or apart of the Jewish Internet Defense Force?

The Jewish Internet Defense Force (JIDF) is an organization that uses social media to mobilize support for campaigns against websites and Facebook groups that promote or praise what it regards as Islamic terrorism or antisemitism. The group's website describes the JIDF as a "private, independent, non-violent protest organization representing a collective of activists".

In all seriousness though, while this thread is legitimate, you seem to be acting in a propagandist manner. Indeed, you have only been active on this website since July 14th, 2014. Before that, you were last active in December of 2010...seems quite odd, don't you think? Not to mention that most of your posts are dedicated to pushing the Israeli government's line.

Now, i'm not accusing you of anything, i just find these circumstances odd.

Overall though, i have no qualms with this thread, as you have presented the truth here. Hamas' objectives are well known, and should be condemned. I am sick of the senseless murder of which both sides are committing.

Fair assumption on your part, and I also saw the same thing.
However I too could be called an American propagandist for my harsh view of the lying terrorist israelis.
But hey, they systematically murdered my countrymen and her sailors, and NEVER was punished.
But then again, my signature lets everyone know exactly where my feet are planted.
Star to you.

He posts truth and you twist it into an anti-Israel message. How very ATS. Imagine if the Israeli charter said this about Palestine ... but we only care about negativity when it's Israel.

I got sick of the constant anti-Israel posts on here. Sick of the constant lies and double standards about Israel and Jews on here.

I'm an Australian, not paid by Israel, or anyone else. My opinions are my own.

The fact I've been a member for so long tells you I didn't just set up a troll account for propaganda purposes.

Exactly. The translation is from Yale university. I notice he is attacking the messenger and ignoring the message.

1. The USS Liberty was a clear false flag attempt for America to enter the war similar to the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

2. There's been dozens of "friendly fire" incidents by Nato forces in Iraq and Afghanistan but I note that you people never ever mention them. A clear double standard.

I hope you're not referring to my actions on these boards, because i have supported neither side outright. I may show certain leaning here and there, but i maintain that both parties are in the wrong, and i would never go out of my way to intentionally mislead others about certain topics of discussion.

Additionally, my comments were not directed at you, so you have nothing to worry about. I was referencing the OP specifically, for already stated reasons.

Also, to address your other comment, and that of OccamsRazor04's, i have not distorted the truth here. I accepted that the OP's thread here was legitimate, and was truthful. I quote myself:

So please. I was not attacking the messenger. Nor was i intentionally twisting the OP's post.

With people preoccupied with this level of hatred and desire to convert the world into the dark ages again there will simply never be peace.

Surely its time for an Islamic state and for all those who love that ideology to live there and follow it freely, whilst the rest of us, no matter what our religious persuasion, can live peacefully outside of that particular state.

But a little voice says to me that we have moved past this possibility and the desire to remove Israel is still a main thrust for Islamic people - we know its the desire of the extremists but it would probably be followed by any Muslim because they would side with their own, were a choice to be made.

The current thrust to conversion, which is permeating though Western society does look to me to be the goal of many young Muslims who are in our universities and who get themselves on the tv, so I am wondering if both the ideas of conversion and annihilation of Israel are the set goals that we will not be able to persuade Muslims are undemocratic and totally unacceptable to non muslims. One important reason for this current thrust is because their religious leaders hate democracy and are probably pushing for all their worth their followers to destroy it.

Here's a few lines from the Lehi Party, aka The Stern Gang, the majority of whom went onto form the Knesset in Israel.

18 Principles of Rebirth

Avraham Stern laid out the ideology of Lehi in the essay 18 Principles of Rebirth:[28]

The nation: The Jewish people is a covenanted people, the originator of monotheism, formulator of the prophetic teachings, standard bearer of human culture, guardian of glorious patrimony. The Jewish people is schooled in self-sacrifice and suffering; its vision, survivability and faith in redemption are indestructible.

The homeland: The homeland in the Land of Israel within the borders delineated in the Bible ("To your descendants, I shall give this land, from the River of Egypt to the great Euphrates River." Genesis 15:18) This is the land of the living, where the entire nation shall live in safety.

The nation and its land: Israel conquered the land with the sword. There it became a great nation and only there it will be reborn. Hence Israel alone has a right to that land. This is an absolute right. It has never expired and never will.

The Goals
Redemption of the land.
Establishment of sovereignty.
Revival of the nation.

There is no sovereignty without the redemption of the land, and there is no national revival without sovereignty.

These are the goals of the organization during the period of war and conquest

Education: Educate the nation to love freedom and zealously guard Israel's eternal patrimony. Inculcate the idea that the nation is master to its own fate. Revive the doctrine that "The sword and the book came bound together from heaven." (Midrash Vayikra Rabba 35:8)

Unity: The unification of the entire nation around the banner of the Hebrew freedom movement. The use of the genius, status and resources of individuals and the channeling of the energy, devotion and revolutionary fervour of the masses for the war of liberation.

Pacts: Make pacts with all those who are willing to help the struggle of the organization and provide direct support.

Force: Consolidate and increase the fighting force in the homeland and in the Diaspora, in the underground and in the barracks, to become the Hebrew army of liberation with its flag, arms, and commanders.

War: Constant war against those who stand in the way of fulfilling the goals.

Conquest: The conquest of the homeland from foreign rule and its eternal possession.

These are the tasks of the movement during the period of sovereignty and redemption

Sovereignty: Renewal of Hebrew sovereignty over the redeemed land.

Rule of justice: The establishment of a social order in the spirit of Jewish morality and prophetic justice. Under such an order no one will go hungry or unemployed. All will live in harmony, mutual respect and friendship as an example to the world.

Reviving the wilderness: Build the ruins and revive the wilderness for mass immigration and population increase.
Aliens: Solve the problem of alien population [i.e. the Arab inhabitants of Palestine] by exchange of population.

Ingathering of the exiles: Total in-gathering of the exiles to their sovereign state.

Power: The Hebrew nation shall become a first-rate military, political, cultural and economical entity in the Middle East and around the Mediterranean Sea.

Revival: The revival of the Hebrew language as a spoken language by the entire nation, the renewal of the historical and spiritual might of Israel. The purification of the national character in the fire of revival.

The temple: The building of the Third Temple as a symbol of the new era of total redemption.

Aliens: Solve the problem of alien population [i.e. the Arab inhabitants of Palestine] by exchange of population.

All to be found quite easily : here

DO take the time to scroll down and have a read of their ties to the Nazi party....DO take the time to realize that insanity is across the board...not just in one group.

Do take a moment to stop and think that NO ONE has the RIGHT to murder children..that..is the only fact that matters.

I remember being told as a child that the bible was the written word of God, which of course was a lie but a good one for propaganda reasons in the years after 1948.

However what gets overlooked about claims based on the bible's tales is that the author was not God, but the Jewish priests themselves. So any authenticity as to claims that were written by a group of people giving themselves exclusive rights to a plot of real estate with water in the ME should never have held any water whatsoever.

You should not be able to invent a history for yourself giving you legitimate claims to land that other people live on. It was the somewhat strange delay in giving Statehood to Palestine when it was a British Protectorate that stopped that land becoming the country called Palestine which had a mixture of Muslims, Jews and Christians all living peacefully side by side.

Johnson didnt aid the ship and said he wanted it sunk (google it) he wanted an excuse to enter the war and was going to blame it on Egypt. Israeli navy personal have come out and said they were pressured to attack by Johnson. It's basically a variation of the Tactic the USA used to enter the Vietnam war eg Gulf of Tonkin incident.
