A bit farther North? You mean like Edzell or father? I'm a Montrose lad myself, not there now but back in Angus area

Thank you, I am to be doing my driving test before the end of Summer and there is a long list of places I want to go (mostly Caves, Castles, Waterfalls, Standing Stones and now Serpent Mounds)

Stonehaven, of all places.

Dunnottar Castle is still one of my favourite places to vist, but I particularly love all the place names up there which still echo the Picts - Pitmedden, Pittodrie (of course
), Aberlemno, Fettercairn.

Definitely check out the serpent mounds when you get your wheels. I'm going to Kilmartin in the summer, so I might head up to Loch Nell afterwards to see what remains.

Ah nice one, I have a few friends who went to Mackie Academy, some through Vampire Live Action Roleplay, some from Medieval Reinactment and some from just hanging out at their Castle (literally) when we were young. And of course some we played Rugby against at School.

That's cool, sounds like a nice road trip in the Summer for you...

are you saying that 5000 years ago this was the goal?

I thought seeing them from over the treetops was close enough?
