Further war crimes - because that's exactly what they are.

There can be no justification for these attacks. The attacks on the hospital and the UN school are few days ago were dismissed and excuses were made.

This is now the third time a slaughter like this has happened. Some will argue that Hamas did this deliberately to engender the sympathy of world media. However as I pointed out on another thread, the sheer scale of destruction unleashed by Israeli forces means Hamas have no reason to fake atrocities and carry out attacks on their own people.

We'll no doubt be told that there was Hamas fire from the "vicinity" or weapons "in the vicinity", which obviously warranted the entire destruction of the target and to hell with anyone who was there at the time.

They did this deliberately. They did it because they can get away with it.

I can accept that in war (although to use the term war in this context seems completely absurd) tragic mistakes can occur. Having said that, the IDF must be the most mistake prone armed forces in the world. Considering the huge amount of money lavished on them their accuracy is woeful and their accountability for attacks on civilians is almost non-existent.

There was a reporter on BBC News earlier discussing in detail the sanctions which are being called for against Russia. Will we see a similar call for sanctions on Israel? Sadly no we won't.

No, Hamas want the propaganda value of dead children etc, so they and their supporters can blame Israel for it.

Terrorism is a position one person chooses to take over another.

One of the key factors an old woman like me uses to determine 'terrorist' from friend, is the constant demands made by terrorists that we the people must ' do as they say or die". These demands mostly stem from issues of religion, ' convert or die', or politics ' police state or no state' etc. but they also extend into the psyche as well, ' free or slave'. The awareness of 'we', 'us' or 'together' just isn't in their vocab.

What is unique about the Gaza crisis is that it has revealed to everyone, globally, equally and quite clearly, that everything that existed on this planet, socially, politically or religiously 100 years ago, after what was really less than a 50 year pause, now exists again, only in it's mirrored form. Those actors who once stood against Nazism and fascism, have themselves become the fascists and Nazis they fought, and in some cases, even visa versa. Whats-more, it's been made clear of late, that these same people, are now heavily cemented in the same denial as 'those guys back then' were, when they were doing what they were doing then.

The bad thing is about this denial is short term at least, we're f*cked.
The good thing about this denial is that they are just as easy to trip up.

The familiar octopus these people are, blindly or consciously, they are still operating using the same resources, doing the same manipulations, with the same dogma, the same level of blood lust, same ferocity in the sense of self righteousness; with the same myopic choices of manipulation - control, war, destruction, domination - as those guys back then used.
Its the same lie, for us old folk, and this is the first time for a lot of people witnessing it in action first hand, so I accept it can be hard to see. Kind of like those fuzzy number psych tests, once you see the number, its there every time, if you cant see it, you won't no matter how hard you try.

The concept and fact that there are other people out there in the world, that they cannot placate control or deceive infuriates these folks. The awareness they cannot deny in our continued existence separate to them, is that there was then as there are now, other, better, and more useful choices that could be being made. These choices require will, effort, communication and commitment and as such, just can't get past their zealous hate. They are lazy. Hate is lazy. More these choices require hope, trust, love, honesty - concepts alien or foreign or viewed as weaknesses.

I used to think that everything all those people of ww2 fought against and for - the hope of real justice, a growing social body of values led by principled law, a collective hope and matured self discipline et al, were just unrealized. They were seeds. I see now though, that as seeds, they've only been forgotten, but have still be growing even without our awareness. We've been led to forgetting those seeds were even planted, even hopeful in our choice to forget and so we thought, to void ourselves the burden we were led to perceive those responsibilities to our family tree would be once they had sprouted. Good news is, perception is also a choice free people can make.

Right now, we have a bunch of intellectual, moral and spiritually bankrupt adult children running about thinking they own the world with something in their possession they think is actual power. They have so far had a free reign and have ripped of the fabric off everything and now stand there buck naked, demanding to be declared 'right'. They are stomping about loudly now, demanding all of us surrender to their view or give in to the mono cultured myopic view they have. "Or else!" They can't see how naked they are. Or how aware of their nakedness we are.

Like the homo saipien to the neanderthal must have been like, our very existence as thinking two eyed people, insults them, as it shows them that change is possible, growth and proves to them that evolution, not just of bodies or technologies but minds spirits and maturities is possible, that it happens and more, that it is a choice we make. Choice exists.

Worse for them, they painfully know that the only difference between two eyed people and one eyed people, is accepting you are responsible for making that choice. You, personally making it. Even worse, they know as well as I do, that we are and will be held accountable, if only to our own consciences, to our decision to make or not make that choice.

I do admit this time they've done a number, that there has been a few left fields and the tactic of incremental enslavement and gluttony was interesting to dissect this time around, though hardly new. It's still the same old same old though, predictable narcissism.

These folks really think they are giants in the playground but in reality, they are not. They assume we dont remember what the last time looked, smelt and tasted like, that we stayed ignorant, don't care or haven't remembered our responsibilities - that we are somehow like them. We are not. They think we are going to rally and fight against them, ignorant of the fact that we have already won. We have learned to look in the mirror.

What has any of this got to do with Gaza? You figure it out. I just figured that if ppl were willing to work all day to pay for internet and feel the need to waste time enough to come online to hear dribble by the likes of bruce..that a bit of my old woman dribble wouldn't hurt either.
