Poll: Most Say Opposition to Obama Has Pretty Much Nothing to Do With Race

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 61% of Likely U.S. Voters think people who oppose the president’s policies do so primarily because they believe his policies are bad, not because of racism.

While recent events in the current state of the union change pretty much everyday, and those shills on Capitol Hill do a full court press to change the narrative of 'what concerns us'.

Hey people forget about the VA, IRS,ILLEGALS immigrant's,Benghazi, and every other so called 'phony' scandal.

So there we are not once,not twice, not three times, but 6 YEARS of the never ending race card because those purveyors of 'Hey your racists' have NO legitimate arguments to make against the current administrations critics.

And they have no problems using politics best weapons of mass distraction,race.

I have a dream that one day people will be judged on the content of their character.

And I can clearly say that Holder,Reid,Lerner's 'associate's,etc have none.

For a group of people who ran on that simpleton slogan of 'Forward' during the last election they sure are stuck looking backasswards.

People do not admit race prejudice. Doesn't matter who took the poll.

Of course people, especially fundamental Right Wingers, are opposed to Obama because of race, his name, and for some that he's hiding his true religious belief, Muslim.

Who you trying to convince? And why?

Obama is a bad president because he .....it's obvious.

Color/race, religion, sex has nothing to do with the fact he is a horrible president. I'm not saying he's a bad person. I assume he's a nice guy and a great father but that doesn't make him a good president.

I've been explicitly called a racist for nothing more than speaking out against this administration or Obama.

My favorite is the assertion that I am either hiding my racist feelings or am too unaware to know I have them.

I think I'm mature enough to know where my prejudices lie. But since this administration, suddenly there are throngs of Obama supporters who are more expert on me than I am... lol

Basically Democrats believe they cannot be racist because they are part of a greater Marxist movement to eliminate Capitalism and free market competition. The idea being that if there was a political kommissar class that redistributed wealth and labor giving us only what we need and nothing more there would be no racism.

There are two types of discrimination: seeking out a race because of their color, and not seeking out a race because of their color.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that his Opposition is much lower because of his race.

You are so correct, I oppose Obama because his policies are leaning strongly toward a fascist dictatorial Presidency. It has nothing to do with his race.

I think there are many people like me who are sick and tired of being accused of being racist every time we disagree with any liberal/progressive/socialist/or Democrat policy or action.

It seems to me like the Democrats hate white people,

some of you will say but most of the Democrat legislators are white, true.

However, the "white privilege" guilt has been spread amongst the liberal intelligentsia.

So they have bought into the idea that anything said by a black leader has to be good because white people are inherently unable to distinguish between good policy and bad policy if the policy is suggested by a black leader.

"White privilege" is code for, white people bad, people of color good.
White people need to know their place in society now and not act like it is 1940, if they don't behave the people of color need to educate them to behave; and endorse anything if it comes from a person of color because to disagree with a person of color is to always be racist.


I grew up as a military brat, living with, going to school with, and my father working with people of all races and creeds.

Through the years I have become disgusted with people who try and say I have to be racist just because I am white; even if none of my behavior or speech is racist.

Of course, there are some of you who will claim my writing here is racist, I expect that. Even though my nephews who I love dearly and think are fantastic men are people of color as is my brother in law.

Keep in mind our President is black, our attorney general is black, many in the white house are black, and yet the Democrats continue to scream that our country is inherently racist and all whites are racist by birth, no matter what they may do or not do, or say or not say.

At least that is how I perceive the way the Democrats are behaving through what they say publicly and how they use it to say if you don't agree with our policy you have to be racist.

Progressives rewrote the definition for the word race.

Now it includes political ideology.

People are now 'born' Democrats', 'Liberal's, 'Progressives'.

Funny thing I thought ideology was learned.
