Israel has accepted Egypt’s proposal for a cessation of hostilities with the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced on Tuesday morning.
The proposal envisioned a cease-fire beginning at 9 a.m. local time on Tuesday. It called for border crossings to Gaza to “be opened,” with the movement of people and goods to be “facilitated once the security situation becomes stable on the ground.” Within 48 hours of the initial cease-fire taking hold, talks are to be held in Cairo with the Israelis and the Palestinian militant factions on conditions for a longer-term truce, according to the text of the proposal.
The armed wing of Palestinian Islamist group Hamas on Tuesday rejected the reported text of an Egyptian ceasefire proposal made on Monday, according to its official website.
The al-Qassam Brigades said it had not officially received the exact text of the ceasefire treaty but said that media reports exposed that it was “an initiative of kneeling and submission.”
“Our battle with the enemy continues and will increase in ferocity and intensity,” it added.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this though, as Hamas has stated that they will not simply bow to a truce.

So, what does that mean? More collateral damage is required ... not enough women and children have been blown to bits to warrant consideration of peace?
Israel has pretty much agreed to stop. Anyone ever hear of a terrorist who simply said, "Okay, you've had enough. I'll leave you alone now." ??
Is anyone's opinion of the situation turning? Anyone still think firing rockets at Tel Aviv was ever going to solve any problem whatsoever? I mean, Occupy Wall Street didn't involve destructive firepower. The Tea Party didn't instigate an armed revolt. The militia folk out at the Bundy Ranch didn't slaughter the BLM thugs, did they?
I can see that neither of the belligerents is ever going to give up. One day, Israel is going to get serious and drive Hamas straight into the Mediterranean Sea. Crying uncle will probably be too late at the eleventh hour and there will be no blame for the Israelis in my heart.

Hudna (هدنة) is an Arabic term meaning a temporary "truce" or "armistice" as well as "calm" or "quiet", coming from a verbal root meaning "calm". It is sometimes mis-translated as "cease-fire". In the Lisan al-Arab (Ibn al-Manzur's definitive dictionary of classical Arabic, dating to the 14th century) it is defined as follows:[citation needed] "hadana: he grew quiet. hadina: he quieted (transitive or intransitive). haadana: he made peace with. The noun from each of these is hudna."

Israel accepts a truce but Hamas wants more violence and you expose the fact you support more Hamas violence against Israel.
