Was Moore just a pawn or was he even in the game?!

Did Heinz back-seat-drive Kerry's campaign? Who wears the paints?

Was the Republican "mandate" in the Senate and conversion from blue to red states truly dependent upon local Republican stakeholders or was it simply the power of Bush's campaign tactics?

Just a few questions to consider (plus any more you wish to ask over the course of this thread) that question the role of specific individuals during Election 2004 and what part they played in pushing the votes left or right...

I think Osama played a pretty big part in this campaign, with his little video coming out right before election day. The only thing I can't really figure out about it is who it benifited, Kerry or Bush.

Did his video tip the balance in favor of Bush, or did it just cause the gap between Kerry and Bush to become smaller than it could of been without his video?

A man who has been lambasted as being weak on defense before he even got the nomination is not going to get help from a Bin Laden video. And Bush is viewed as strong on defense, mainly because he has the larger defense spending in a while.
