Army National Guard 1st Sgt. Paul Dunlap, 53, a Marine Corp. Vietnam veteran and current signal specialist in the reserves, talks inside his
country kitchen with his wife, Mary, at his side in Pleasant Unity, Pa., on Tuesday, about being called up to active duty.

He is being called up because he is in the reserves, not because he is a vet. Reserves are just that, in reserve in case they are needed. Due to the
situation in Iraq, more soldiers are needed, so reserves are being called up. Nothing new here.
