By today’s standards. Pretty straightforward. Broadcast software that points to the IP of a livestream. For a studio panel we used Skype and Virtual
Audio Cable to pipe the Skype call to SAM Broadcast (very pricy professional broadcast software but other options exist now that may be cheaper).
After hours of tweaking and testing (or what seemed like months) you are on the air.
I did play around with a free Mac broadcast program to a computer on a LAN, way back when this was getting figured out. Figured the SAM setup was
better all around and I didn’t have the bandwidth to host.
Jack knows more details how it works as I think he helped write the book internet radio.
