The chemtrailers would have had a ball with this one. Stopped off in Guernsey yesterday en route to France and the contrails had spread out into a thin cirrus sheet that produced the clearest solar halo I've ever seen.

The green and purple orbs made a cheeky appearance too.

Yes: photo was taken on an iPhone 5: the field of view across the short side is 43.87 degrees, so the 44 degree diameter of the halo looks about right (doesn't quite fit in!)
