Why? Because when Buzz Aldrin slugs a fellow in the face, it is because he damned well deserves to be punched in the face!

You do not arrest a living legend for defending his own honour!

Resorting to physical violence in a verbal exchange is generally perceived, in civilised society, as not exactly cricket. But then you knew that.

Of course he's forgiven because a) he's Buzz Aldrin, and b) he's a doddery old geezer who's expected to go a bit mental occasionally.

Apart from stating the obvious, it does rather lend grist to the mill of the Moon Landing Hoax conspirators; it looks as though Sibrel touched a nerve.

If Buzz wanted to fan the flames of conspiracy, he did a brilliant job.

Buzz comes from a time in history, where there were still some things, you could not stride up to a man and say, without expecting to get thumped in the head a bit. If I walked up to a fellow from my grandfathers generation, and disrespected their efforts in the Second World War, I would expect to get a walking stick slammed into my throat. I would never do that of course, because I respect their efforts and sacrifices on my behalf.

The fellow got what he deserved. It's that simple.
