Once upon a time I used to do a lot of pet-sitting. I took care of a house that had 22 cats in it - divided into upstairs, main floor and basement cats. Crazy is a relative thing

This woman had a huge house - so not really as bad as it sounds. She couldn't turn them away - and once people found out about that, boxes and baskets would just mysteriously show up on her doorstep

The woman I just mentioned did exactly the same thing. I think they were Russian Blues too - a whole colony of them - how weird is that?

Here's our cat Izzie. We adore her!!!! She's 2 1/2 years old.

I grew up with dogs, but my husband and I decided to get a cat ....
So I basically trained her like a dog, since she was only a kitten.
She knows: come, sit, stay, food?, etc.

About the photo... I was getting ready to feed her, but got a phone call, so went back to the living room. When I came back I found her waiting next to her cat food.





What's funny and puzzling to me is how on earth does she recognize that this can has her food in it?
I tried putting a can of corn, mushrooms, olives on the table and she wouldn't come, but every time I get the cat can out, she gets excited, and won't shut up.

There was a huge colony of them at one time, but that was years ago - I was trying to find a story, but couldn't find a thing. They're sterilization plan probably worked -

It's interesting though

I used to have a cat that was part Russian Blue - named Lucy. Sweetest thing in the world - scared to death of everyone but me

My sis too rescues cats and she always has two to four Russian blues in the mix (meaning up to 25 cats at any given time).
