You know who else has not been to visit the border? Rick Perry

Maybe if it was important enough for our governor to show up, then Obama might see it as worth while. Until then, I am fairly certain that Obama is fully aware of the situation on the border. Going down there is not going to accomplish anything....what's he supposed to do? Wave his finger at the illegals, say shame on you and then personally escort them back across the border.

Feigned outrage as usual.

Yep that that is a trait not unique to the right.

You're correct. The Democrats are hypocrites as well, but I'm glad you admit the Right is hypocriticall....allbeit in an indirect way.

Now look at this immigration issue with that in mind and tell me that you cannot see the outright stupidity and hypocrisy the Republicans are trying to shove down our throats.

So the right is hypocritical/stupid for not getting on their knees and let the left hand themselves an entire voting block?

What are they shoving down our throats ?

The law being enforced ?

Blocking more people that are going to be put on the welfare rolls ?

Add more people to a system that can't already handle what it has.

For a nation that is 17 trillion in debt.

For a nation that has over 100+ million on government ran healthcare.

For a nation that has over 100 million people out of work.

Someone is trying to shove something down our throats.

That aint the right.

Obama to visit Texas, meet with Gov. Perry amid border crisis

Obama is stopping in Dallas and Austin this week for Democratic fundraisers and a public meeting about the economy.

More than 52,000 unaccompanied immigrant youth have been caught along the Southwest border this fiscal year, almost double last year’s total. The epicenter of the crisis is the valley, where more than 37,000 were apprehended this year, almost triple last year’s total.

Of course he has to raise a few bucks first and show up for a few photo ops. Only the ones where he doesn't have to stand in front of a big crowd of hispanic children.

We had a small break-through there Neo, but you went right back into defense mode.

*sigh*

I hope this brainwashed partisan stupidity that is infecting this country will just go away someday. Just remember, don't come crying to me when you spend all your time and energy blaming the other side, but you get stabbed in the back by your own kind.

It doesn't fly for a myriad of reasons.

If the left are 'victims' of anyone it is themselves.

From their epic ARROGANCE of the ACA. That was one giant leap backasswards for Democratic kind.

Then they gave themselves another dose of stupid only getting more stupid with:

Fast and Furious.
VA.
IRS.
Bergdgal.
Iraq.

And the list goes on.

Then when one actually looks at the current make up of the HOUSE, and SENATE, and the Presidency.

The left holds two thirds of federal government.

Doesn't matter what the House does. Since for the past few years since the Right was put in power of the House.

The Democratic majority in the SENATE has non stop snipped blocked them.

Now for the latest weapon of mass distraction: Immigration.

That reminded me of Bush, Jr's photo op of him reading to little children from an UPSIDE-DOWN book when he was "notified" about 9/11

Didn't the Governor of this state not just snub Obama for the same reason? No photo op?

It is "bad press" to be seen with Obama these days.

Even some Democrats are avoiding him.

Especially the ones running for office this year.

Reminds me to a lesser degree of the Republicans avoiding Bush during 2007. The Neocons were a death sentence to any candidate trying to attract swing voters.

could have been that his staff couldn't find the right kids for some more of his staged photos.

AP Editors: Obama Relies on Staged 'Propaganda' Photos Read Latest Breaking News from Newsmax.com www.newsmax.com... Urgent: Should Obamacare Be Repealed? Vote Here Now!

APME was part of a large group of media organizations that recently sent a letter of protest to the White House about diminished access to President Obama by photojournalists. The groups also protested the administration’s frequent releases of "official” photographs in lieu of allowing independent photojournalists to make their own images. APME is now asking you to help us keep the pressure on the White House to open access to presidential events that were routinely open to the media under past administrations going back decades. Here are two key ways you can do that: ⦁ Avoid using "official” photographs provided by the White House. Many media organizations have unwittingly helped facilitate the White House’s unacceptable closure of routine events involving the president by publishing the official photographs, sometimes taking them directly from the White House Flickr feed. ⦁ Consider writing editorials to expose the White House’s practice of excluding photojournalists and to pressure the Obama administration to change its policies. And if you write editorials, please understand that this is not an attack on the president’s personal photographer, Pete Souza, who is a respected photojournalist. This is a protest not against Souza but against the policies of his employer, who happens to be the federal government – more specifically, a president whose pledge of transparency in government is undermined by such policies of exclusion. It’s important to note that the AP distributes official White House handout photos only when "we feel the news value is compelling and the photo was taken in a place logically off limits to journalists, like the private residence,” said Santiago Lyon, AP vice president and director of photography. Such instances are handled on a case-by-case basis and authorized by senior AP news managers, he said, adding that use of such photos by the AP is unusual. "We reject most White House handouts, because they are photos of events and in locations that we believe should have been covered by independent journalists,” Lyon said.
KEEPING THE PRESSURE ON THE WHITE HOUSE

What doesn't fly, Neo?

All you seem to care about it the propaganda and lies coming from the Democrats, but even when you understand the same is coming from the Right and you're all being played like a fiddle on this immigration issue.....you just ignore it and go back to raging about the Left.

It's a sad state of affair these days when being intellectually honest is all but gone.

Give me some examples of the rights' lies', and 'propaganda'.

The entire point has been that the issue presented in the OP is a non-issue, and the only reason people are making a big stink is because of the propaganda machine at work from the Right.

Whether Obama goes to the border or not, the Right will be whipped up into an outrage frenzy to counter his decision.

Obama understands this and that is why he said what he said. If he would have gone we would be arguing over him taking advantage of it for a photo op.

He can't win no matter what and the Right will find anything and everything to complain about.

It may be a non issue for some.

But it IS an issue for the rest of us who actually tries to hold the current POTUS accountable for his actions.

Instead of make excuses for him.

Republicans are just like the democrats....they only cry about it being "the law" when it serves their political purpose.

I didn't see them crying about the illegal Patriot Act or warrant-less wire-tapping. Why is that? Hmmmm

Hypocrites.

No matter who dislikes it...

Everything you just said is 100% true.

The right rolled right over our constitutional rights following 9/11. Which basically made us the losers.

Republicans allowed our country to appear as cowards with all this anti-terror big brother crap.

I am not left or right.

BUT, I feel the right should be ashamed of their own actions every bit as much as they feel the left should be ashamed of their's.

That stupid ass Iraq war.

Republicans have much ass-kissing to do before they DARE criticize Obama.

Again, I am neither left nor right.

We forget that life is not easy.

Would you let your children starve in order to feed the neighbors?

Perhaps the people of central America would be better served with direct military intervention by the United States. I am sure we could root out the gangs with ease and our soldiers would consider it a vacation after multiple trips to the "big catbox". However, that would be wrong. It is far better to bankrupt ourselves and allow ourselves to become a third world nation.

After all it's for the children.................

ETA - I agree - this is a terrible time to be President but at least he has the media carrying him at the moment. Imagine how bad it would be if he was Republican LoL

All I hear is Republican, Democrat, Republican, Democrat, left, right, left, right.

Can we stop that, are we all so dumb that we do not see that picking a side is not the right way to move forward? We need what is best for the people of this great country. Things will never change though, every argument will always spiral into a left, right crap fest ad nauseum til infinity, and this country falling apart completely.

Sad, sad state of affairs truly.

Frankly, I'd rather the Pres stay in his office andout of the way of anyone/agency/entity that might be able to actually take a legitimate stab at resolving this mess, get to work doing just that.

This is disgusting. He finds the time to go to MTV movie awards and music awards. Basically pretending hes a celebrity. And when the opportunity comes to do some 'busy work' and see the border for himself, he wont/cant find the time. It isnt high enough on his priority list, but MTV is.

Disgusting...

When the country was having some sort of crisis and the leaders of said country go to visit the area, I thought it was to assess the problem and figure out solutions.

I didn't know the reason for the visit was photo ops.
