Yes magazines of course how silly of me, no one on earth would have understood such a drastic misuse of the lexicon.

No worries, we want you to sound like you know what you are talking about when you foam about 'proactive self defense' and other such screwiness.

That leaves the rambo types, the scared snipless people who thinks ra gubermint gunna take yer gunz. Who thinks an evil doer is around every corner. So paranoid, their house looks more like an armory than a home.

Since the majority of firearms owners fall under the categories you discounted why do you wish death on them with your moronic plan to arm them with obsolete and defective weapons? Are you backpedalling your solution now so it is only the people outlined above that you want to see dead? Did you ever really have a desire to participate in this conversation in a genuine and honest manner?

Did we not establish that the militia scenario was simply a mental exercise? Or did you in fact think you were getting a SAW?

the Texas plan i think would be a fun experiment. Deport all gun owners to Texas legal or not and remove Texas from the union and cut off all imports from the US to Texas, and observe the results.

According to ya'll, Texas should be a utopia in a week. After all, an armed society is a polite society.

'Mental exercise'? Is that a more refined term for trolling? So your 'solution' was not really a solution.

I, unlike you, am willing to share the country with people who's views I do not agree with.

So what you are saying, in not so many words, is that you really have nothing of any substance to contribute to this topic other than absurd suggestions and wishes of death and/or deportation on anyone who happens to have a divergent viewpoint from yours.

No we would take over other stateS who were all METRO like you.they only have cops and agents to protect them ,the MILITARY would KNOW better.
YOU actually think that about people?
Were you raped as a kid or something ,Mommy get shot?
IF YOU EVER take ANY SSRIs in great amounts and ultimately quit cold turkey the YOU will no doubt BE the next shooter.
Would gun laws stop YOU? Your opinion is EXACTLY like Dillan Clebold(?),and 99% of the rest of these nutballs who go off...nothing else to live for. IT'S OBVIOUS.

WE AS VETS volunteered to go die, I would IMAGINE you would say so we could get the power or some type of lib garbage insult because you HAVE no idea in fact that YOU are the ABERRANT being here, not "GUNOWNERS" if it were indeed the fact WE would run America( I DON'T WANT TO RUN S##,I WILL BE LEFT ALONE). We see the PC crowd as glad handing manipulators that smaller minds cling to for some measure of self worth or protection by others of the same ILK .
I am a warrior ,trained from youth BY MYSELF to do EXACTLY what I have done. I hate the trashy popular B##S##T AND THE SOCIETY and the system.
But I am not going to MAKE you as I have become A: You couldn't do it.
B: WE HAVE to win wars because idiots we elect keep fomenting them. And all the time your PC cheerleaders spitting on us like the HIPPIES of old but FAR more IRONIC and SMARMY "victiming" your way to a miserable death.

As i am the ONLY person even trying to offer a solution. It really can't be said I'm trolling anything.

Do any of you have a realistic plan to reduce the frequency and severity of these mass shootings?

Anything?

I think we need to do a better job identifying and treating mental illness, not just for mass shootings, but for all related crimes to this issue.

Ok, now that's an idea, not a bad one at that.

Keeping the guns out of the hands of the mentally ill by way of working on the core of the problem.

Treatment towards finding a cure or at least a plan of working towards managing the illness properly.

I could support that. See, compromise.

Sure!

When you limit yourself to only one side of the issue you will enter into a verbal battle with a small weenie.

The smart money is on the guys that have listened to both sides of the issue and are much better prepared.

The lower crime rates are in areas of the country that have passed the Shall Issue weapon laws.

That comes with experience. Right now, psychiatry is in its infancy as a science. We only just started exploring the brain and its intricacies like 100 years or so ago. For comparison, chemistry traces its roots back to alchemy which traces its roots back to ancient Greece. Knowing that, I could never trust any government sponsored diagnoses that label someone mentally incapable of owning a firearm. Our knowledge of mental illnesses isn't advanced enough yet. Maybe someday that will be the case, but not right now.

enforce the gun laws that are already on the books.

Agreed, I am not that altruistic where I feel I can sit back and let a 'impartial' government make a determination on my fellow citizens. Government has repeatedly displayed the fact that it is inept, inefficient and frankly, dangerous.

The solution is easy

Everyone gets a gun

It really is that easy

Lets see how long or often these sprees happens when the entire population is armed and they know its a one way street

The problem is there are people like u out there who hate so much ( and it doesnt matter what u hate ...right now its guns...ban them a d u will be on to your next banning crusade. Its about hate and fear) that we can never implement it

And now my words fall on scared hatefilled deaf ears of yiurs . As yiu will never see yiur folly and the wisdom of my words

again, simpleton logic...

in every state, people die as a result of intentional, or unintentional lethal interaction with motor vehicles, yet i do not hear you calling for people to come up with a solution to the scourge of the "vehicular mass murder epidemic"

in every state, people die as a result of intentional, or unintentional lethal interaction with knives, hammers, and baseball bats....yet i do not hear you calling for people to come up with a solution to the scourge of the "stabbing epidemic", the "hammer murder epidemic", or the "mass bludgeoning epidemic"

why is this? it's because you personally like cars, knives, hammers, and baseball bats....you have a use for them, so they're ok, despite the fact that they can be (and very often are) used to intentionally kill people...

you dislike guns, you have no use for them, so you rail on about them, like they're the worst thing since satan...you wanna restrict the hell out of them. this demonstrates a very clear bias, rendering you completely incapable of having any sort of meaningful discussion on the topic.

you start the thread with rhetoric, hyperbole, and nonsense, then come up with silly arguments with no merit, to support your position. when this fails, you make things up about your opponents, to use as red herrings, so you can attack them, hoping the distraction will steer people away from your shocking lack of logic, and then, of course, if that doesn't work, and people keep calling you on REAL issues, you deflect, evade, and ignore reality...you even go so far as to ridicule gun owners, and wish harm and death upon them, simply because they disagree with you...

you exhibit all the commonly accepted symptoms related to a psychosis of some sort...i believe you are a very sick individual. if i were someone with the authority to do so, i'd see you were involuntarily held at a mental hospital, for evaluation. THAT is how seriously i take the awful things you've said so far..

No, it's not projecting, it's the reality of humanity.

People are slime, dishonest, petty, offensive, degenerates. They always show three worst.

So, you must hold this same viewpoint for yourself then.
Or.......................you are different.

Well, yes, as this is afforded by the 2nd.
Thanks for stating the obvious.

It's the only reason they refused to even entertain any reasonable gun legislation.

Your ability to take 2+2 and have it equal potato is mind boggling.
It has been stated hundreds of times before.
No law has stopped gun violence. Chicago is a mecca for gun laws, and yet it is the gun violence trash heap we have showing what happens.
More laws are simply restrictions over the law abiding citizen, who has a Right to something as outlined by the 2nd.

If sociopaths were actually bared from having firearms, they couldn't live out their Rambo, lone gunman fantasies.

Yes, we all know that only "sociopaths" do bad things.

And where does this whole Rambo talking point come into play?

Are you honestly taking a movie plot, of a SF veteran, being beaten and such by local LE, and then turning on them as your "case" to further gun laws????

They aren't scared da gubermint gunna get der guns, they're afraid they will be held responsible for their own psychosis.
