What the EFF ?

3.7 billion dollars ?

THREE BILLION DOLLARS ?

GD where the eff is my 'fair share' ?

Well we have options you know.

We can take a vacation to Mexico next week and come back over the Texas border.

They would have to let us go as long as we have family in the U.S.

Let me get this straight, $3,700,000,000 for 91,000 illegal immigrants, is that right? That's a cost of $40,659.34 per illegal immigrant.
Cheers - Dave

Except for the minor matter that it is not being spent "on" illegal immigrants at all.

Where the $3.7bn will go

$1.8bn to provide the appropriate care for unaccompanied children
$1.1bn on detention and removal programmes
$433m on border patrol and security
$300m to Central American countries to repatriate and tackle root causes
$64m on immigration courts, including hiring 40 additional judge teams
Source: White House
- from the BBC

Actual spending ON any illegals seems to be $1.8 bn for care of kids - because the law says they have to give kids a hearing and can't just send them back over the border.

also note this:

The administration has told Congress it was seeking "additional authority" to allow the Homeland Security secretary to more quickly return the minors back home.

But immigration advocates fear this means children would lose the automatic right to a hearing before an immigration judge, and instead would have to go through an initial screening with US Border Patrol.

So the Administration is also looking to process the kids FASTER than it takes at het moment - aren't y'all keen for that to happen??

the rest looks exactly like what the howling masses on here have ben asking for - more for enforcement, more for deportation, more for courts, more for patrols, and also an attempt to sort out some of the root problems wherever these PEOPLE came from.

Nothing about wildfires in there either

Hold the phone!

If they have 'family' here.

Where is the pressing 'need' to blow 3.7 billion dollars on them eh ?

Typical White House.

Never letting a good crisis go to waste to blow our money.

I'm kinda on the fence with this one...The money requested in aid to build detention centers and educate/ provide avenues for these people to stay home might be best. This way we spend a lot of money "at once" to fix the problem; kinda like the "surge" in Iraq where we use a huge influx of troops to get us over the hump. This time the surge would be an economic one. Illegal immigration is doing its part to cripple the California economy because of Healthcare costs.

I have no problem with people coming here to attain a better life; I know I would if I were in the same situation. However, ILLEGAL immigrants are overloading the system.

Here are two articles which discuss this serious issue:

I wonder why these reasons for the money are requested now? They clearly knew the problems were coming since last year when the increased number of people started. and when they were soliciting for transportation in January.

Because the fact we cant secure the border and stop these people from entering in the first place is a farce. There are over a million military men and women currently in the U.S. that are more than capable of securing that border. They are being allowed to overwhelm the system. Also the numbers are misleading. Are we to believe that its ONLY women and children coming? Is a 17 year old being counted as a child? Are they sure the child is 17? I for one wouldnt trust anyone with 3.7 billion dollars who denied a congressman entry into one of these facilities. In his home state no less. Gag orders on people not to talk. Riot gear en route. This whole situation stinks to high heaven.

Now even a Democrat has questions !!!

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The unaccompanied children from Central American crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally should be deported except in extreme circumstances, according to House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer.

“We have an immediate humanitarian crisis that confronts this country, we also have a crisis in terms of this country cannot continue to absorb, nor should it, a limitless number of people who — particularly children who want to cross our border,” Hoyer told reporters Tuesday.

According to the Democratic whip the influx is unsustainable in the U.S.

I seem to remember hearing that there is a sizeable muslim population in S. America somewhere; Argentina, if I remember correctly. This whole issue is why there are calls from some to seal the border.

And how many is that?

To pay for everything that is required to process them, to firm up the border - you do want more patrols don't you?? to have more judges to process them faster ......
which part of those are you against?

Typical White House.

Yeah - how dare they try and solve the problem with measures that you have been calling for!!

Never letting a good crisis go to waste to blow our money.

Well let's not do anything about it then - I'm sure that will solve everything .....

Oh - and you agree with the Democrat senator that they should be deported - well that's what the Whitehouse has suggested they would like to do too....and they have asked congress for more powers to do so - so apparently you agree with the President on that too!!

Or you could acquaint yourself with some actual facts about the law, the situation and the nature of the crisis.

but I think that might cause your brain to explode - having to agree with Obama AND consider factual information - it's a dark day for you!!

The border problem is a REAL national security issue.

Hell a terrorist could drive nukes across it, and park them anywhere they wanted too, and Washington would be none the wiser.

Until they went off.

What ?

'Try to solve problems' ?

They spent past 6 years trying to 'solve' problems they created, only to exacerbate them.

Well let's not do anything about it then - I'm sure that will solve everything

They got here on their own. They can go back on their own.

Without a cost to us.

Who knows maybe that's the plan. One more giant false flag and the US is finished, as a free republic anyway. Considering that this administration has seemed to do everything in it's power to tear the country apart your thought doesn't seem that farfetched to me.

It's a serious potential problem and I don't know why it's not being taken for what it is. Maybe the Drug Cartels are keeping any potential terrorists in check....?

Im not mad at the kids. Im mad at the parents for putting their family in this situation by sending them to the US. I am mad at Obama for not securing the border, Obama for lying to us. Looked us in the eye and said that would be taken care of year 2(2010). Now I see why Arizona did what they did. Probably not the right decision but they got fed up with the bs. Now we have a humanitarian crisis on our hands. The first part of that word is human. We have no other choice but to try to help now. The human sex traffickers are probably loading up down there and then we will send 3.7 billion gd $ , probably 1billion goes to actual humanitarian aid and the some states or elites pocket 1.7 billion.

Your post sounds more like personal attacks than than any sort of rebuttal with any facts. Money is already allocated to the federal government that I am sure is more than enough. Laws are already in place. Border agents are effectively being told to stand down. They have gone from protecting our borders to escorting the intruders in. Why don't you enlighten us with some facts about the LAW since we all have it wrong.

If you miss that short put on the first green, you will never make up for it.

Obama isn't that good of a golfer.

He's strictly a sand trap shooter.

Not far fetched at all when one listens to the new Iraqi 'caliphate' and their 'imperial' aspirations.

I think a tent city like detention facility would be a lot cheaper and maybe after the criminals stay there for a bit they will pass the word to their countrymen that it's not worth the trip.

You know the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back?

Aren't you simply amazed how many times BH0 can get away with tossing up an entire bale?

His inept plan has put real lives at risk ... and in numbers too large to really ignore. Not to mention real health risks which pose a length of time to address. Was this a step too far ... the last proverbial straw?

I don't know about you, but I have no faith in what little 'government' remains in D.C.
