Got to love prehistoric petrified porn.

The phallus was used all over the place in ancient Greece and Rome. Pompeii had phallic statutes on every house for luck and prosperity.

The Moche tribe of South America has a vast array of pornographic pottery. The Moche culture lived on the north coast of Peru approximately 1,500–2,000 years ago. It is like a ceramic Kama Sutra. They didn't even tell us about that in college Art History classes.

So this proves that men have been lying about their penis size since recorded history?

It's cool to see how they threw down back then. ...I'm treading lightly here.....I can't afford no more warnings......

That's what she said.

I couldn't resist. Really. I tried very hard. It was a losing battle.

Isn't that the same symbol that is used on your official letterhead skunkape?

Similar form. Much elongated.

A big Standing "O" to you sir!!

I think your assumption that earlier people were prudish about sex is just something we were all taught at school by inferment and originally put out by the Church when it took over 'our morals' (sex is purely for procreation certainly not enjoyment I remember being told as a Kid). Pagans use to love to celebrate life and creation of life had a number of 'celebrations' one was Saturnalia which was steeped in ancient times and the Bacchus celebrations. I suspect there were a lot more 'erotic' carvings about before they got erased. Can't help wondering how the Prof handled it with his students though, if he was an older gentleman.

I think you are probably right. I usually try really hard not to ASSume, because we all know what happens when we do that. This is just something I never considered... reconsidering I guess. It was always just an assumption I suppose. I never really questioned it.

It might be nice to know how he handled it. If it had been my dad... There would have been a laugh track playing continuously in the background.

I feel your pain. I've been struggling since I posted the thread. I am a 37 year old woman, but sometimes.... The teenage giggling boy struggles to come out. I'm not sure where it comes from, but it's there and at this rate, probably always will be much to my chagrin.

As usual - Stars to all who posted. A big thank you to those of you trying to litter my browser with your recommended ancient porn. I will check out all of your links... For educational purposes only, I assure you.

There's nothing like ancient porn to bring all of us together out of the political madness if only momentarily.

I think it's kinda funny that back then and still to this day, men liked to imagine themselves with an impossibly large penis. I guess some things never change.
