I love my commander, its probably a bit bulkier than most like but rarely have I found a gun that fits my hand so well.

It works for me at least.

I'm a big guy so I CCW a Glock 29 and a Kimber ultra carry equally well. A commander sized 1911 single stack would be a decent CCW piece in .45.

Get one with the handgrip shaved and rounded in a "bobtail" configuration.

If expense is not an issue Hk p7 in 45,is hard to beat,It is a unique squeeze cocking firearm ,a full sized grip yet compact, but it DOES get hot.
What I would like to know is what is your skill level?

Are you happy with the trigger work you had done? My only complaint with the XDS is the trigger pull.

Very happy with the PRP trigger...

During the hot months, I appendix carry a Springfield XDS in 45. When I work at my shop and during the cold months, I carry the SIG Compact Nitron 1911 at the 4 o'clock position.
