High Speed Internet from the Gov't

There's a push by communites to have their local governments provide high speed internet at reduced prices compared to private companies. Here's the link to the story:

This is all well and good and might even force the monopolies to be more competitive in pricing. However I can see the government coming out of the wood work to FINALY be able to regulate. They'd be so happy. Ugh.
