Because we adults don't pretend to be one thing while pushing a hidden agenda that infers otherwise.

I hope that wasn't a real question; unfortunately it probably was. But I've sit here and watched this thread get derailed by over opinionated ramblings.

It's so incessant it comes off a little demented. So that's what I base my assumptions off of.

But yes...details matter. This is ATS.

ETA: DarkStormy I don't wish to argue. We can still hug it out.

What are you on about ? Hidden agenda ? Get real dude ..

You have watched the thread derail you say? Well stop adding to the derailment with posts like that ^ herp derp !

When we were dropping bombs on Iraqi heads, the peaceful majority were irrelevant.

When we drone funerals and wedding in Afghanistan, the peaceful majority were irrelevant.

Now that all the countries we have destroyed over the past decade are riddled with Extremists, the peaceful majority are irrelevant.

All after 911

Therefore irrelevant

300 Million Extremist Muslims. The 75% of Muslims who are moderate become irrelevant. The 300 Million can inflict heavy damage on the world. Yeah ... she got it right. It's something to be concerned about. And she backed it up with a whole lot of history of this happening in other cultures ... like Japan World War II and the Russians etc etc ....

300 million extremist I would love to see proof of that. If there were 300 million of them they could basically take over any nation they wanted. The Heritage Foundation just pulls facts out of their ass.

This is just a "guesstimate" from all foreign friendly and enemy intelligence services

300 million is about right I'd say, if we look at how many Muslims are living In Western society and the number of extremists alone arrested in these countries alone in other countries outside the problem would be far greater, just because there are 300 million all over the world does not mean they could take over a country at all, perhaps you should rethink that one over

All of this because of overly optimistic rose tinted immigration policies. The Muslims I know who live in my country do not want to integrate, they want the benefits of a modern society sure, but they do not want to live by our laws or accept our cultural identity.

I would be able to say this about most of the Mexicans I know and I have known a lot. At one time we employed 900 plus all mexican.

I agree, but if the past 10 years have taught us ANYTHING, it would be that we cannot be the world police. We cannot force other countries to live as we do

What has worked the best throughout time is infiltering of ideas into the young. If there were no open war it could be done pretty much the way many parts of the world was taken by Christianity throughout history. Pulling their beliefs into yours and giving it back in small doses especially to the young...

Fight a war without weapons with intensive propaganda alone over a long period of time.

If one day I decided to uproot and relocate to Japan from my own country (England) why the hell would I be singing the praises of the UK in my Japanese community if I'd left the damned Island in the first place, it just boggles the mind? I'd be flying my Japanese flag proudly if I was living there!

that doesn't mean you would no longer care about anyone back in the UK would it.

Great, so we have finally found the Evidence that Iraq and Saddam orchestrated 9/11? Can you give me a link so I can check it out for myself? At least now we can justify the deaths of roughly 1 million innocent Iraqi's, hey you sadistic SOB?

You just said it...if we kill the terrorists, the moderates will become terrorists. Therefore...they support (or would support) the terrorists. THAT makes THEM the problem too.

First there is a problem with the word terrorist, it is all a viewpoint, like the people who attack abortion clinics etc.

The woman asking the question (and making a statement as well) would fit right in here at ATS. Many posters cannot seem to address original post topics and try to deflect using emotion.

But I also think the the lady on the panel addressed it quite well.

But she clearly felt it was relevant to the topic so why not just be happy she was able to ask and get an answer?

I'm happy that she was able to ask the question and make the statement. But I also realize that she is a idiot being that she could never say such in a Islamic country.

Yeah like the extremists in the American government that genocided the Native Americans.

The extremists who enslaved millions of Africans

The extremists who lied and started the Iraq war where almost 5 thousand US troops and 1 million Iraqis died.

The extremists who did 911 in the US government.

Its legit to worry about any extremist religious radicals but its not only Muslims.

Also, another thing that needs to be said here is that were actually not talking about “radical Islam” or Shariah here.

All Shariah is is (no pun intended) religious law.

Saudi Arabia practices their version of Shariah, that’s their right if they want to.

What we are talking about are the VIOLENT extremists who want to impose their religion violently on others, the Saudis, though they practice an extreme form of Shariah, don’t do this, in-fact they are American allies.

So this 25 percent thing is nonsense.

I lived in a Muslim community, we use to interface with Salafi and always argued with them and their extreme version of Shariah, but they weren’t violent, like these characters today.

That’s the issue here, not Shariah but the violence and compulsion issue is what is in question.

The issue is violent terrorism not Shariah.

I personally bash it's policies all the time, that is part of why she is here. Loving this country and wanting to be here in no way takes away my caring for other people and what happens in their countries.

Gabriel sounds like a compulsive bs artist...

Gabriel used to tell audiences that Hezbollah was the group that terrorized her family for the seven years between 1975 and 1982. She stopped making this claim after people objected, pointing out that Hezbollah was formed after she left Lebanon, as a direct result of the Israeli invasion and occupation of 1982.

And whats with her bottom lip, it's almost hanging by her chin, what a disgusting woman.

There are radicals but who create them?

Lets look at the current quagmire in the Middle East, who created that mess and the resultant militant groups that have come about from that mess?

...

No. The religion itself created the radicals. In case you didn't know, the first 2 large wars that the United States had to wage against other nations after becoming a union were the First Barbary War of 1801-1805 and the Second Barbary war 1815-1816.

First Barbary War

The First Barbary War (1801–1805), also known as the Tripolitan War or the Barbary Coast War, was the first of two wars fought between the United States and the Northwest African Berber Muslim states known collectively as the Barbary States. These were the Ottoman provinces of Tripoli, Algiers, and Tunis, which were enjoying a large autonomy, as well as the independent Sultanate of Morocco.[1] The war was fought because U.S. President Thomas Jefferson refused to pay the high tributes demanded by the Barbary states and because they were seizing American merchant ships and enslaving the crews for high ransoms. It was the first declared war the United States fought on foreign land and seas.
...
In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli's envoy, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). When they enquired "concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury", the ambassador replied:

It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once.[21]
...

en.wikipedia.org...

Milestones: 1801–1829

Barbary Wars, 1801–1805 and 1815–1816

The Barbary States were a collection of North African states, many of which practiced state-supported piracy in order to exact tribute from weaker Atlantic powers. Morocco was an independent kingdom, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli owed a loose allegiance to the Ottoman Empire. The United States fought two separate wars with Tripoli (1801–1805) and Algiers (1815–1816), although at other times it preferred to pay tribute to obtain the release of captives held in the Barbary States.

Again a show that radicals are following the footsteps of Mohammed to the dot. The really worrying part is not the numbers of radicals, but the numbers of radicals that claim to be moderates. Remember that the spread of Islam must be done by any means necessary, including lying and using deception.

Lying in Islam

By Abdullah Al Araby

Like most religions, Islam in general, forbids lying. The Quran says, "Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies." Surah 40:28. In the Hadith, Mohammed was also quoted as saying, "Be honest because honesty leads to goodness, and goodness leads to Paradise. Beware of falsehood because it leads to immorality, and immorality leads to Hell."

However, unlike most religions, within Islam there are certain provisions under which lying is not simply tolerated, but actually encouraged. The book "The spirit of Islam," by the Muslim scholar, Afif A. Tabbarah was written to promote Islam. On page 247, Tabbarah stated: "Lying is not always bad, to be sure; there are times when telling a lie is more profitable and better for the general welfare, and for the settlement of conciliation among people, than telling the truth. To this effect, the Prophet says: 'He is not a false person who (through lies) settles conciliation among people, supports good or says what is good."
...

www.islamreview.com...

That's a big problem, because not only can radicals hide using deception and making non-believers think they are moderates, but moderates themselves can pay a high price because of this deception since you can't be sure whether someone who calls himself/herself a moderate is in reality a radical.

BTW, I am not promoting hatred to moderate Muslims, but the facts and evidence can't be ignored either.
