The biblical God and Allah very probably don't exist so knock yourself out going that the rabbit hole that leads nowhere.

Justify it as much as you want. Genocide is genocide.

Ah the old "Atheistic states" argument. All those people weren't killed to encourage the spread of atheism, it had very little to do with it. Cold war paranoia hangover.

1) no God? Your opinion. We'll find out one day.

2) Genocide is slaughter based on race. The Canaanites were killed for cause. It's God's world, He makes the rules.

3) Christians have fought each other (usually Catholic v Protestant) but no Christian state has ever slaughtered it's own people on any scale. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot etc. slaughtered millions based on their vision of what The State needed. Guess you could say The State was their God. poor substitute imho.

There is no evidence for your god or their god or any god other than some ancient writings that contradict themselves. Why would I believe in fairy tales? Do you believe in Santa? The tooth fairy? They have more evidence going for them than any god.

OK call it mass murder then. The justification that some undetectable and unknowable entity told them to do it suggests mass psychosis.

Communism wasn't anti religion as such, at least not in its original form. Religion was seen as a necessary thing for the poor and down trodden to escape from the harsh realities of living under some post feudal system. When communism had been achieved it wouldn't be needed for that escape. People could still have their own private spiritual beliefs but they wouldn't need to bow down to some antiquated hierarchical system to do. But like every good idea it is hijacked, communism was manipulated by hard line conservatives and we all know how that turned out.
