I just tried your link twice, but it's a 404?

here ya go....

In what just may be the most stunning example of hypocrisy in my lifetime, Mother Jones has uncovered numerous investments on the part of Hobby Lobby’s retirement fund in a wide variety of companies producing abortion and contraception related products.

Hobby Lobby is currently seeking relief from certain contraception benefit requirements of Obamacare in a United States Supreme Court case that promises to be a landmark decision on the rights of corporations and the extension of personal religious protections to corporate entities. In the case of the Hobby Lobby corporation, the company is closely held by the Green family who purport to have strong religious objections to certain types of contraceptive devices and are suing to protect those religious rights.

Remarkably, the contraceptive devices and products that so offend the religious beliefs of this family are manufactured by the very companies in which Hobby Lobby holds a substantial stake via their employee 401(k) plan.

So tubals and birth controls are paid for women, but vasectomies and birth controls are not paid for men? That's not right. It should be the same for all ... both men and women.

and let's not leave out, hobby lobby is ok with paying for Viagra, too

That's already been brought up about 10 times in this thread. And its been shot down as a ridiculously stupid argument as well.

Congratulations! And to the Muslims, Mormons, and Jehovah Witnesses. Sharia law for you daughters and sons in the workplace, is on its way.

That's right every form of religious discrimination is now ok. All you have to do is say my faith says it should be this way.

Honestly did you even read the ruling or you just jumping in here to scare people?

i heard this same line when the voting rights act was basically neutered....it's a great day to be corporate and/or a wealthy white male..... screw those women, the godless, the brownies, the retched poor...you don't belong in America, get the hell out.

I knew you couldn't make a post without throwing race in there.

Businesses do not have the same private property rights that residences do.

And that right there boys and girls is the essence of the struggle!
The people who are opposed to this ruling have no concept of what private property and individual rights are.
They have no concept of personal responsibility. They believe that their job belongs to them and that their employer is required to subsidize all of their lifestyle choices directly.
These are fundamental divergent views that cannot be overcome without the person who holds the beliefs going through an emotional and mental maturity.

Lets set the case, You and your brothers and sisters decide to expand your family business. It’s a craft store with a single location.
You file the paperwork to form a corporation. You establish stock that is majority owned by your family members but a small amount is sold to investors to raise the capital to build additional locations of your store. This is fundamentally a paper exercise. Nothing about the way the company is ran has changed. The only addition is that you now have an annual “shareholders” meeting where you all get together and plan the coming years major business initiatives.
You expand to 10 stores as you repeat this process of attracting investors via stock, however the family continues to hold majority interest and the stock is not publically traded.
Now you have 100 employees and you are providing benefits to those employees that are full time. Ass part of that package of benefits you provide health insurance.
This is a perk. It is something that you decided to provide because you want to attract employees who are loyal and dedicated. Your provider gives you many options as to the level of coverage that you can provide. Based on your religious beliefs you choose a specific amount of coverage.

Please explain to me in the above narrative where any single persons rights have been violated?
Please explain to me where any of the employees were forced to continue to work for your company?
Please explain to me why the paperwork converting your company into a corporation suddenly removes the rights that you enjoyed as a sole proprietor?
The paperwork simply underpins the selling of interest and limits the liability of the individual owners directing the liability to the assets of the company.

You people who keep harping on this BS about “corporations are not people” seem to forget that people are actually behind the corporations, drive them and have the right to make decisions consistent with their individual beliefs.

How do you figure that an employee's pay check or health care compensation package doesn't belong to them? Who uses the health care insurance, the employee or the employer? Who's health care is it?

Why do you think that an employer should have the right to tell their employees how to spend their paycheck or use their health care?

do the individuals in that company also have religious beliefs?
what about those individuals in other companies that don't have that belief?
aren't the individual employees also force to buy into policies that cover birth control?

hurray!!! the business owners rights are not above yours!!!

We are talking about 4 types of contraceptives so please tell me how and why this is a race issue?
Every time you entitled minded people don't like a ruling you and mainly you throw race in it why is that?

It gets old and it also shows your lack of intelligence.

Nobody is stopping them from going to the doctor and paying for it themselves.

With all fairness, Mr. Jimmy X of the Nation of Islam is really the first to bring up race.

Everyone else is sticking to the "Sexist" side of the argument.

just because one is an employer and one is an employee the basic beliefs of the two is different??

it is a pretty far stretch to say that the employers right to their religious beliefs is being infriged on by the mandate to offer policies to their employers (the amount of money that add to the payments varies by the way and are you sure they are even required to pay any?)

but the individual's ( business owner or not) isn't infringed on by a mandate that they have to buy a policy that includes it!

Funny. The same folks that are in an uproar now, were the same folks that said, "Supreme Court ruled Obamacare as legal, get over it."

and the danged alchoholic that is on disability because he can't keep sober can also pay for his own counseling!!
don't see that one happening any time soon!
unfortunately that working women that you are desiring to have pay for their own birth control has to pitch in and help pay for the alchoholic's couseling!!

let's see the alchoholic made some pretty bad choices and isn't contributing much at all to society as he drains funds for all his needs
the women is working to provide for herself possibly depending on a husband to make ends meet!

the counseling might manage to get the alchoholic sober enough to hold down a job.. but then again maybe not!
the birth control could conceivably help the women prevent from becoming pregnant and keep her not only working but also off the public assistance roles!

matter of fact nobody is stopping anyone from going to the doctor and paying for any healthcare need!!
nothing is except the financial picture!!!
