I really don't do TV unless it's the NFL. We've got another month before that kicks in again. So I took this off season and watched some TV shows that I never followed. Well, that would be all of them. The last show I followed religiously was Farscape. Many years ago. I've pretty much caught up and looking for something to carry me for the next month. The shows I've followed, in order of preference.

House MD- It just doesn't get better than that.
Fringe- Just awesome.
True Blood- Just damn good.
Heroes- I thought I was going to hate this and was hooked inside of 30 minutes.
Dexter- Out there but in a good way.
Supernatural- Probably would have been higher on the list but Sam is such a whiny bitch.
Angel- I was surprised. Good show.
Firefly- Weird but compelling. Yes, I saw Serenity too.
Buffy- Bleck.
Blood Ties- Even worse bleck.

I saw the first season of Sons and was underwhelmed. Katey Segal is the hottest ever though.

So, anything out there to watch, taking into account my taste?

Yeah start watching Orphan Black.

side note I love the walking dead but if that gets and after show shouldn't Orphan black get an after show. With a great social discussion on cloning and individuality going on?

I haven't heard of GoT. What's that? Oh and this Battlestar had to have been better than the PoS from the 70's, right? The others I have heard of. Deadwood = western, right? 24 I know.

Hi Intrepid, if ya stuck for something to watch in the old goggle box then here are a few if my personal favourites:

1. Suits (absolutely fab although only up to Season 2 at the mo)

2. Banshee (now this you gotta watch, season 2 is starting in UK next week I believe)

3. Prison break? Surprised that's not in your list, that had my heart beating like a bass drum for 5 long seasons lol.

4. Archer (adult cartoon and strangely enough the spy agency in it is called ISIS if my memory serves me correctly. I love archer although I don't aspire to be like him.

5. Sopranos, this is how I popped my box set cherry.

Happy viewing

All the best

GoT = Game of Thrones
BSG = the version I was talking about is the 2004-2009. The first few seasons were as good as as anything i have watched on TV. The show received a ton of critical praise. Like anything you will find people that didnt like it but last I looked it still held a spot on the TV guide Top 100 TV shows of all time list.

How did I forget Breaking Bad.
I dont think TV gets much better than that.

Some UK shows worth watching are the Sherlock series and Misfits. Someone else mentioned Rome and I would recommend this as well. The Titus/Lucious relationship is one of the best .

Youtube is your friend

I dont watch tv because it dictates my choice of viewing, but most tv is now on the tube and I can choose what I watch!

Dont know if your into british tv but all the Inspector Morse episodes are on the tube, each is an hour an fourty minutes. They're what I describe as a layed back - Who did it.
No blood an guts, no silly shoot outs, just crimes being solved by two detectives.
