Man, this is tough to choose...
Normally, I'd pick Pink Floyd's Money sax solo...
Or something by Stan Getz, Charlie Parker or Paul Desmond...

But this sax solo starting around 4:28 always gets me...
Ugh! SO much soul.

I am actually not a big fan of saxophone in certain genres. Something about it's sound just doesn't mesh well in my ears in rock or pop music.

It sounds great in jazz though.

Basie, sax at around 8:00:

Yes, i think everyone has their own individual taste in which genre the instrument is used in. I am not a great jazz person meself but i do like a sax in rock music. Here is probably a better know track:-

Great, now I'm gonna have the "Baker Street" sax hook stuck in my head, like any other time i hear it.

Maybe not a sax solo in the strictest sense, but in my opinion one one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed for sax. The actual solo starting at around 2 min mark IS mighty tasty though.

For the more rock-oriented (like my self) I'd say the Floyd's "Us and Them" takes the cake. Tasty.

And of course, we can't forget the great usage of sax in Motown-style and early R&R.

And can't believe I almost forgot about this one!

Not so much sax solo but one of my favourite feel good sax and drum numbers from the '80's
