www.youtube.com...

For whatever reason, I can't post videos. But those that said balloons. yes, I think so.

Do we have anything aside from the one video? If it isn't something like fireflies or mylar balloons, I'd say this could be one of the wacky side effects from rocket launches that JimOberg talks about. I know the Angara launch is coming up - maybe sounding rockets?

Whoa....

I walked in this thread thinking for sure I was gonna be watching Chinese lanterns. Case close.

Now I'm walking out thinking...whoa..

Nice find!

The lights do act like they are part of one organism, a giant flashing amoeba, contracting and expanding.
also, check out the architecture in Astana, quite amazing in itself. Lots of alignments going on between buildings, and the palace of peace pyramid celebrating religious diversity.

While I think it is a very interesting display, I can imagine that this is possible to make; like something flying with use of helium or something like that and having little things with lights blow in the wind in such a way that it makes these regular movements.

I am a believer in et's but something tells me about this one that it may be something other than that.

Whatever that was it's really pretty.

It's difficult to say what they could be, being just points of light, but at times the movement had an unusualy organic character to it. Some of the lights also did some rather fast moves. It would probably take some unusual weather condition if they were balloons. Which is of course possible. Also the lights seemed to be going on and off in synch with some of the movements. The lights don't appear to be drifting upwards either. Very intriguing.

Any similar footage from elsewhere?

reminds me of
"And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God, and saying,"

cool, but doesn't look like alien craft from anything I've seen before in seemingly authentic video or RL, and really doesn't appear to be craft at all imo. The movement is not similar to any known ufo craft phenomenon, nor is such a disorganized large cluster.

Funny how people don't bother to read replies in a thread. Pauligirl has proven what this is already.

Wow. They get more realistic ever year. If you look at it, the light go back and forth like a pendulum.

Hmmm... maybe.

They could be a fantastic swarm of fireflies.

What let me perplexed is the altitude of this sighting. The zoom of the camera and the position point at very high altitude.

Yet again as YOU have no information on the size or distance of an object you can't tell it's altitude!

Exactly!
I've noticed that anomalous behavior...

Many of that lights go back and forth in the same position... WTH!!!

The fuller expansion would be; "dubito, ergo cogito, ergo sum."
A profound statement on the importance of critical thinking.

"Since I doubt, I think; since I think, I exist"

Nor YOU...
You make assumptions about altitude based on insufficient data. Critical thinking requires that, at least, such an assumption be acknowledged if not discounted.

Doubt is the spark that make great discoveries.

I agree. Doubt is the core of skepticism, of critical thinking.
"Since I doubt, I think; since I think, I exist"

Simple belief is a dead end.
