What I've learned from watching these congressional hearings...

1. Same question will be asked in 8 million different ways

2. Watch Mr. Koskinen lie non stop

3. Questioning my sanity for watching this still

It feels good when the hammer stops bouncing off my skull.
It's all relative jhn.

What they describe is NOT how email works in a corporate environment. They might as well say the autoexec.bat file missed the autoexec.ball file, and the config.sys and the config.bro had a fight and config.mom & config.pop had to intervene.

THIS IS SUCH TRANSPARENT BS. This is how IT guys squirm out of a lawsuit when they lose a client's data. With BS

You don't replace the backup every year, so it doesn't have to be in the budget.

And the backup takes precedence over almost everything ( power protection is very important too, and you need to replace failed drives in an array IMMEDIATELY ). NOBODY would make the decision to skip the backup. NOBODY

Emails ARE NOT STORED ON THE EU COMPUTER for the simple reason that it COSTS TOO MUCH TO BACK THEM UP.
You back up the whole database, because whether you use Arcserve, Backup Exsuck, or Netbackup, or whatever you can restore on a granular basis.

So it's a LIE, all LIES.

Or it is specifically engineered so ANY emails that need to be lost can be "lost". But to be believable, you need to lose EVERYBODY's email for the period in question.

So we have INCOMPETENT LIARS, or some IT guy with a conscience that advised them to do it this way......

"You don't need to tell me about probability, I took a class at MIT"......

Damn.....

It's funny you say this, I was thinking whats the chances of all the harddrives failing with the necessary emails to convict, and canceling the contract with Sonasoft 2 weeks before said drives failed? Put your math hat on MIT jhn7537, because if it's up to me we are in trouble I can't add 2 and 2.

On the surface I would say Louis Learner should be playing the lottery, that is of course if everything is above board.

Kerry Bentivolio is bringing an entirely different angle here. I like it. Kosiken is still stammering.

Got to hand it to you guys that got through the whole show. I had to stop watching. It was starting to feel like I was watching a B movie but the plot just sucked. I couldn't take it anymore.

Now is the time for some politicians to bring the fair-tax discussion back to the top. Down with the IRS
