I don't think all Conservatives or Right-Wingers are evil or wrong or stupid and I'm pretty specific about a person or group I have an issue with. OP...didn't you get the memo? Each individual is the center of the universe. They are the ONLY important thing on Earth and ONLY THEIR opinion matters. They have the power through simple words to change other people's minds at will and therefore spend a lot of time trying to do so. So of course those other people are stupid...until they are converted to the RIGHT way of thinking. These individuals also use any means to an end including lying, cheating, stealing and destroying anything in their way. Not to better anyone...but to raise themselves. Because, as you know, if you actually suck...the only way to better yourself is bring everyone else down. These individuals MUST become the "parent" and "king" of everyone else since they are the only one with the RIGHT answers...even if no one wants that.

We also call these individuals Liberals, Progressives and President. So now you've received the memo. Sorry.

I believe there is a misunderstanding in the people that I was referring to. I was thinking more along the lines of the people that, in your example, would be "mediums" or those with a supposed greater understanding of the spirit world than say, the people who simply believe in ghosts.

I wouldn't consider people who think they've seen a ghost as idiots at all. I don't believe they actually saw a ghost as I don't believe they exist, but to them, it is real. We are easily convinced of things we see with our own eyes even if it's not accurate or we are simply dreaming without realizing it. It's a pointless argument because to that person, it's as real as can be. I've had bizarre experiences myself with relation to sleep paralysis and supposed things I saw while awake, but, I know they weren't real.

I didn't realize that so many want to call people stupid for not believing in their way of thinking.

I used my example to illustrate that while I think it wrong, believing what you want/desire to believe is not stupid.

I agree when I see something which is detrimental to our specie and others support it even when shown facts which show they are completely wrong and they are still completely ignorant of those facts...well they are stupid.
I just give up on them and hope they don't teach more other humans the complete utter lie they have been spoonfed.
Nope Beezer sometimes you just have to call it how you see it.

Sometimes a person sees another as 'stupid" when that person has a lower IQ and cannot really understand what the "stupid" person is really saying.

I read a lot of the threads here. I see many differing opinions. For the most part I consider everyone on here talented in there own way. Not stupid. I have a lot of respect for the people on here, and have learned a lot, from the good and the bad. This is why I keep coming here for the purpose of learning and some good chuckles along the way. Let's run down the list of the issues with this stand you've taken. Feel free to skip to the end because really at the end of the day I am not right anyway

1. People on the right AND the left seem to have elevated themselves to the idea that they are infallible. Those who disagree are wrong and that frankly is just as insulting. And anyone who tells me the Conservatives aren't just as guilty is ACTUALLY wrong. We all do it

2. People are trying to put concrete answers onto abstract ideas. Socialism is wrong. Conservativism is wrong. Christians are wrong. Atheists are wrong. The thing is none of these things can be solidly proven. We've had Left leaders and Right leaders who've done wonders for our country. Some Christians are the most amazing and gentle people I've ever met. Some Atheists are generally happy and not militant. Just the same, some people fromm all these categories are rude, arrogant and disgusting. But it all boils down to one fact; it's abstract.

You want to tell me I am wrong because I say 2+2=5...ok I am on the boat with you and paddling. You want to tell me my abstract ideas are wrong...abandon ship

3. An this is where think a lot of people, including myself in the past, have problems. These same abstract ideas are right or wrong for YOU the reader, not for all. I think conservatism is the most evil concept ever brought to the fiscal forefront. It's heartless and stomps on the little man. It erases the middle class. BUT I have to understand that this is MY interpretation of it. It doesn't make it fact.

Again, if i missed the sarcasm I'll edit this post into oblivion, but you've said over and over, that us Lefties aren't stupid...just wrong. It's only wrong to you in your moment not to all others. And it is not concrete that progressive behavior is wrong.

The fact is, people in this individualistic society are pathetic (my opinion...myself included). We look around the world and have deemed that anyone not on our personal ground is wrong. It happens in microagressions AND macroagressions. What we've become is sickening to me

Notice this quite a lot myself, and also that some seem to get away with it, while others have posts removed. I suspect everyone is clear on who has posts removed, and who gets a pass, too.

You could add to this people claiming at all sources that disagree with their point of view are "biased", and thus "not valid".
