My father was wounded during WW2 by a German mortar round.
He was still having pieces of iron Shrapnel come out through his skin for the next 50 years.
Doctors could never give him a MRI.

You could have had a Foreign body stuck in you as a child and it finely was rejected.
This is not that uncommon.

I had a BB in my leg for years till a X-ray found it just under my skin.
A doctor removed it just in case i ever needed a MRI.
I can remember the day got shot with it but i just thought i had been hit by a rock or something.

Looks nice and infected to me....trouble with topical disinfecting is that more than likely you have infected the layers under the skin with whatever tool you used to get the object out. Hopefully it doesn't spread anymore than it appears to have spread from the pics.

The redness you see in not an infection. In wound healing it is called the inflammatory phase that lasts for 5-8 days. This is were the blood vessels dilate (hence small area of redness) to allow essential cells; antibodies, white blood cells, growth factors, enzymes and nutrients to reach the wounded area.

Providing the scab is not boggy and he is not developing increased pain at the site - all should be well with the healing process.

I'm under the impression the redness is because I squeezed the f out of it but you may be far more correct than I am. An eye is kept on it though, as I like my leg and the rest of my body

if it is still red...take a pen and mark the outline of the redness.

if the redness crosses those lines its an infection. only treatment with antibiotics will assist.

the only other hint i would give is too get some pyroxide and wipe every few hours.

I dont like the doc either man, 2 weeks ago I had to go to the emergency room, because my left eye was not working normally(by which I mean it was blurry and I was seeing a light in the top left corner of my left eye only.), and I was feeling odd. Like a little wobbly, not quite faint, but not my normal solid self.

Turns out I had very high blood pressure, now I drink less, smoke less, and take an aspirin in the morning.

I did not even realize how bad I was feeling for how long, until this week. O honestly feel better than I have for about a year. I would never have known if I hadnt gone to the doc.

Point is, they get paid the big bucks for a reason.

Ask around, find a doc you know has a good rep, and make an appointment. It cant hurt, if you dont like what he says get another oppinion.

(This is off topic for a reason, to give "oblvion" a bit of medical advice he seems to need.)

I'm not a doctor, but I know enough about high blood pressure that an aspirin a day is not a fixall. If your BP is that high (over 130 in the states) that is where treatment with meds starts, then you need meds not an aspirin. They are usually very cheap. The aspirin is to help ease the possibility of a stroke or heart attack brought on by the high BP, not a remedy for it.

He doesn't need meds! He's doing exactly as he should...cutting out the drinking, smoking, salty foods, etc, and that will work just fine to lower his blood pressure. He did that and said he feels better than he has in a year, so I doubt he needs meds, just needs to watch what he puts into his body.

Oganic sulphur completely clears up high blood pressure. the sulphur cannot have any additives or caking agents in it whatsoever or it will not work.

Pulled most of the glass out of my knee in my twenties that had been in there since I was nine. Crashed my bike, doing stuff the parents warned me about and being a kid, I denied the whole thing. Even threw out ripped, bloody jeans so they wouldn't know. Haha, I got kids now and can see lies a mile away.

This is about the removal of he piece from your leg, did you have it appear in your leg after a surgery? I have heard of a case in which a person went in for a minor-surgery and found that he had something new in his foot ankle after going through the procedure. It didn't appear to be a metallic object but more of a gelatinous substance. Please describe more about what people have been experiencing; specifically the onset to the acquiring of foreign objects into the body.

I'm a Specialist who agrees; i come on ATS in my free time because I make so much money and am prepared to give free advice. I have so much free time I prefer giving out free advice rather than driving my Bentley or Maserati around

So you think you did ok, but you also think it's odd that rubbing alcohol did not produce the expected nerve-related sensation?

Hmmmm

Don't use rubbing alcohol to clean wounds.
It kills tissue and slows wound healing.

Wounds should be cleaned with Betadine.
en.wikipedia.org...

This is what all hospitals use for cleaning wounds
