The Vizsla is a dog breed originating in Hungary, which belongs under the FCI group 7 (Pointer group). The Hungarian or Magyar Vizsla are sporting dogs and loyal companions, in addition to being the smallest of the all-round pointer-retriever breeds. The Vizsla's medium size is one of the breed's most appealing characteristics as a hunter of fowl and upland game, and through the centuries the Vizsla has held a rare position among sporting dogs – that of household companion and family dog.
The Vizsla is a natural hunter endowed with an excellent nose and an outstanding trainability. Although they are lively, gentle mannered, demonstrably affectionate and sensitive, they are also fearless and possessed of a well-developed protective instinct.

The whole thing makes me want to drive up there and join the
search. But I wouldn't be lurking around the place at night,
especially after the way you just put it. Indeed terrifying.

Under the light of the full moon and on friday the 13th even.
How well does that bode?
I thought about that early on. I don't believe in the 13th bad luck. Should have been decent light late. Full moon was actually the 12th and early on the 13th (thurs night/fri early)

The reason why it scared you, is because of the reason why it scared me. The clear, indisputable sense of intelligence behind the disappearances. That, and the superhuman (and by that I don't mean faster than a speeding bullet. I mean significantly faster/stronger than us) abilities of the culprit. Without a doubt there is a thinking, sentient mind behind what is happening. A mind that is not like ours, and is taking our children, our siblings and our parents away from us.
nd that is truly terrifying.

Do you/anyone know where the dog was seen on the two separate occassions in relation to either the original camp site (near Sespe Creek) or where they were when the dog initially bolted (somewhere along the creek)?
If the dog was in relatively 'the same' area on each siting...I can't imagine the search parties focusing elsewhere...

I've only seen map location for the search start area and a dog sighting.
I would think a reporter would go to Byers (but he might not be available) or the fishermen in order to get some facts.
