Saying i am not thick skined and using a baseball analogie to say i missed my point is not sharing an opinion, so if you have anything to share about the op, not how you feel about me plz do share.

I have shared my opinions regarding the OP. Unfortunately, you've decided that I need to work on my replies for some unknown reason.

By the way, the analogy obviously worked, because you got it.

And your point is, leather comes from cows, what does it have to do with parts of adead men head taken off for profit, care to explain.

For groups like PETA, the two are the same, or I should say they feel that the leather is of more value than a man's head.

Makes no sense, why the need to compare things that have nothing in common, just say your not offended by it, no need to try to sell it to others.

So where do we draw the line?

You draw the line at the boundary of good taste. Which is entirely subjective and changes with time, and I won't pretend to know exactly where that is.

Since my question was ignored, I'll follow up myself.

"Where do we draw the line?"

If we allow people to start drawing a line based on others preconceptions, then we'll be governed by their interpretation of what determines "offensive".

I think others might be upset if I got to determine what they could or could not do, say or could not say.

What team has a name that would be offensive to peta, does any team torture animals, or use fur as a uniform.

You asked pudding.

I get your point beezzer, I really do. Who am I to define for you what's offensive, and vice-versa? But, at some point someone must draw that line, and when they do there's going to be some pretty pissed-off people. That's life. Everyone can't have it their way all of the time...be you the offended or otherwise.

Asked what, why some people need to compare stuff that have nothing in common thinking it makes sense.

So how many teams have a name of torturing animals, what team uses fur.

The name redskings comes from brithish soldiers paying iroquois to kill hurons and bring back the top of there head for payment.

So plz explain to me how does peta and scalped heads have in common.

I'm not selling anything here. You want to be offended, be offended, but don't get uppity when not everyone else shares your offense.

Plenty of my ancestors died at the hands of white men, and yet I don't find the team name offensive. I also happen to be of the conservative persuasion, which means I (and many like me) am constantly attacked by the so-called sensitive and tolerant for simply having a different point of view, yet somehow I manage to move along through life just fine, without causing unnecessary strife over a word.

What should the Washington Redskins change their name to?

They should change it to the Washington redskins

What was it ?

5 native americans didn't like so they took it to court ?

Hell they should be more upset the fact that native americans still live on reservations, and live in poverty.

Hell maybe the team should give them a casino.........

You're still missing the point of the thread. Where does it end? When is everyone going to be fine with ALL of the names of EVERYTHING?

It is all pointless bickering, and a distraction from real issues.

Sort of. . . "Life sucks sometimes. Get over it."

To either side of the equation.

Lol the thread was mainly people chiming in with funny new names for the team, instead of trying to figure out why people get offended, insulting people cause there not thick skinned.

I find it offending thats all i can say, not here to change your mind just trying to show you theres another side to a coin, and no it does not mean im right.
