All the destructions of the cities and towns in Eastern parts of former Ukraine are intensifying dramatically.
More civilian victims have been reported on daily basis. Many homes, residential buildings, hospitals, etc have been targeted
by Nazguards on daily basis and possibly with one and only goal, to clear these areas from ethnic Russian population and according to the latest from Kiev:

Raising concerns even higher that a full-fledged cleansing is being planned, Ukraine’s land agency said that it will be giving “free land” from the east to the military, Interior Ministry, and Special Services troops battling the federalists. With Ukraine on the verge of large-scale ethnic and cultural cleansing, it is little wonder at whose expense this Lebenstraum-like “free land” will be given.

www.kyivpost.com...

Land parcels will be given out for free to the servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations, as well as to the employees of Interior Ministry and the Security Service of Ukraine that are defending territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country in eastern and southeastern regions of Ukraine.

About 15,000 refugees have crossed the border between Ukraine and Russia fleeing from areas of combat operation in Ukraine’s southeastern regions, speaker of the parliament of the newly proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
“I cannot provide more exact figures but, as far as I know, the number of refugees is about 15,000. They are mostly women and children,” he said.
Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Lamberto Zannier, who met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday in Moscow, is expected to arrive to Russia’s southern Rostov regions to meet with the Ukrainian refugees.

Donbass is also being seen as treasonous, at least according to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mikhail Koval. He was appointed to his position after his predecessor’s dismissal following the reunification of Russia and Crimea. Koval’s extreme statement of intent for the people of Donbass also validates Russia’s prior concerns in March, elaborated upon in the White Book on human rights violations in Ukraine, that Crimea was facing an imminent humanitarian crisis before the reunification. If Crimea had not defended itself and reunified with Russia, now that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s post-crisis ‘resolution’ plans have been made public, it is very likely that its citizens would already be imprisoned in a special “filtration” camp of some sorts and forcibly moved out of their home region (if they survived the ordeal).
What Koval has proposed to do to the citizens of Donbass is completely illegal under international law and characterized as a crime against humanity. Forcible deporting and transferring a population, imprisoning them for no reason other than their address, and specifically targeting an ethnic and cultural group is explicitly forbidden under Article 7 of the Rome Statute. Perhaps because Yatsenyuk and others in his administration believe the protesters in the east to be “subhuman”, they do not feel that “human rights” apply to them. Accordingly, these “sub-humans” won’t have the right to their former property as well (due to the forcible resettlement), so it is likely that their homes and businesses will be the “free land” that Kiev has promised to its militant henchmen deployed in the east.
Hundreds of thousand of Ukrainians are seeking refuge in Russia escaping punitive military actions by Kiev's junta.
Hundreds of thousand of Ukrainians are seeking refuge in Russia escaping punitive military actions by Kiev’s junta.
This flagrant violation of fundamental human rights is being absolutely ignored by Western governments, which are usually the first actors to prematurely blow the whistle on any suspected human rights violations and threaten military intervention. It is now seen that the human intervention/responsibility to protect (HI/R2P) rhetoric and slogans were nothing more than charades to pursue ulterior geopolitical purposes. In fact, contrary to their established HI/R2P “credentials”, the West, particularly the US, is actually aiding and abetting the Kievan regime that plans to carry out the cleansing. Military advisors, millions in funds, and CIA and FBI support have flooded into Ukraine since the coup, and more than likely, they will all be directed eastwards towards violently suppressing the federalist protesters. In this manner, the US is directly complicit in any and all war crimes that Kiev’s conventional or mercenary forces carry out, up to and including Koval’s ethnic and cultural cleansing plans. Thus, the six million people of Donbass are faced with the same type of humanitarian disaster that was thought to have been forever vanquished from Europe almost 70 years ago.

Sadly, all you'll hear here is how those in the East deserve all that is coming to them.

I for one think what is happening in Ukraine is pretty damn sick..

Plus, Iraq is the only thing that'll be getting talked about now.

Slavyansk, 17/06/14

Due to lack of electricity, local morgue is not working and people killed by shelling had to be buried same day.

Kramatorsk, 17/06/14

this town has been shelled constantly for a last 2 days with high caliber weaponry, massive damage to residential buildings. Warning, dead people on the streets in these clips.

Youtube is removing these videos for obvious reason, hiding what is going on there like most of MSM from the West so no guarantee you will be able to see them.

'Anti-Terror Operation' is turning into 'Terror Operation' sponsored by the West, who even blocks Russian UN Resolutions to condemn attack in Kiev on Russian Embassy. Can they go any lower?
As said before you do not expect those responsible to condemn their agenda.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says he hopes the new Ukrainian leadership will not support those harboring scenarios of ethnic cleansing in the southeastern part of the country. "Instead of the promised ceasefire - which we heard from President Poroshenko - some announcements have been heard from the security agencies in Kiev that a military truce would be declared so that the separatists, as they call them, could leave the Ukrainian territory," Lavrov told journalists on Tuesday.

"This is no longer national dialogue, and this is no longer negotiations with all regions involved but is in fact ethnic cleansing," Lavrov said.
"I do hope that Poroshenko won't take his cue from those who are harboring such scenarios," he said.
The death of Russian TV journalist Igor Kornelyuk in Ukraine is "yet another serious signal to all those who are seeking a military victory in the southeast and this territory's mopping-up," he said.

At this stage... I would say its a civil war, read a history book that never entails the rules of war.

Is it right... no, but unfortunately that's the nature of that beast.

I do not need books to read and to make conclusion what is going on. It is all over the net, hundreds of clips, reports, articles... Not hard to find even though much is done to hide it by sponsors in White House and Brussel.
At this stage... I would say this is the beginning on ethnic cleansing.
Typical terror scenario, intimidating local population by bombing towns 24/7 (Slavyansk), air/strikes (Lugansk) and simply forcing them to leave.
And it is going to be much worse.

You see it all over the world, everywhere where the USA and EU supported a change, it is going downhill.
Instability all over North Africa, Middleeast, Arabic countries and Ukraine.
If people still think there is no agenda behind it, they are wrong.
The USA and EU are playing with fire to archive their geopolitical goals and the victims are the normal people.

Who ethnically cleansed Ukraine of Ukrainians in the first place? As well as Crimea of the Tatars?

And how many months, exactly, has Strelkov and his gang been living in Ukraine?

Fighting foreign insurgents who have invaded your country is not ethnic cleansing.

btw Poroshenko has been trying to broker a ceasefire; Strelkov has remained totally mute on the subject. Hence there is no dialogue ....

Aye, a few women and children fleeing fighting, for their own safety, is not quite the same thing as starving millions to death or forcibly carting an entire population away in trucks ....

While Americans who are dependent on the corrupt state-corporate media fail to understand anything that is really going on in Ukraine, such as their tax dollars being used to support murdering neo-Nazi militias the mask slipped a bit in the aftermath of the shooting down of a Kiev junta military aircraft. The plane, ferrying military troops to the east for the ongoing ethnic cleansing operations sanctioned by the Obama-Kerry-Nuland dream team was taken out by an anti-aircraft missile outside of Luhansk killing 40 paratroopers and the crew. This elicited cries of outrage from the puppet government of recently 'elected' western puppet Petro Porshenko aka the Chocolate King as well as a vow of vengeance that will probably make the atrocities at the Odessa trade union building last month look like child's play.

But it was Victoria "f*ck the EU" Nuland's guy, the technocrat and former central banker Arseniy "Yats" Yatsenyuk, the sitting Prime Minister installed by the US backed coup d'etat against the democratically elected Viktor Yanukovych who during a speech channeled his inner Stepan Bandera. The following is excerpted from a story on the website of the missing airplane network CNN:

Hundreds gathered in Kiev's Independence Square on Sunday to honor the victims of violence that has ravaged Ukraine for months, including 49 people killed when a military plane was shot down.

Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko had declared Sunday a day of mourning. The crowd in Kiev observed a moment of silence at noon local time (5 a.m. ET).

"We bow our heads to the heroes who lost their lives for the sake of their country, to prevent the war from coming into the house of each of us," Prime-Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.

"They lost their lives because they defended men and women, children and the elderly who found themselves in a situation facing a threat to be killed by invaders and sponsored by subhumans," he said. "First, we will commemorate the heroes by wiping out those who killed them and then by cleaning our land from the evil."

I think ethic cleansing is the most sought after achievement of the Obama administration and both former Bush administrations, and certainly was used by Hillary and Bill as the way to live their lives by. Ethics really get in the way of doing illegal and terrible things to people or entire countries as they would surely tell you. (If they were waterboarded first to tell the truth).

Just look at government today and how ethics are just unheard of!

(Okay, I was just making light of the thread title typo there..)

On a serious note, ethNic cleansing is the worst thing and the most incredibly ignorant thing a human being can do. People doing it would have been better off being born an unthinking rock. Hearing about this kind of thing reminds me of Milosevic and what he did, or Hussein and what he did to the Kurds in Iraq.

We are witnessing a civil war, but noone wants to admit this.
Ethnic cleansing is a big word and I don't see a similarity to Kosovo, Srebrenica, Darfur or Ruanda at the moment.

another interesting article

As the world’s media circus moves on to Iraq and the international community’s already-waning attention switches from Ukraine to a new series of the ‘US foreign policy disaster’ horror show, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yatsenyuk publicly announces Kiev government’s genocidal plans in relation to anti-governmental militants and largely ethnically-Russian East Ukrainians who support them. Following the Third Reich’s textbook and without any attempt to conceal it, he refers to the group they are trying to exterminate as ‘subhuman’. This fascist manifesto is then proudly displayed on the Ukrainian Embassy in the USA’s website.

Around the same time Ukraine’s Minister of Defence announces plans for ‘filtration camps’, where survivors linked to separatism will be detained, and Ukraine’s Land Agency reveals the Ukrainian LEBENSRAUM plan, which promises free land to Ukrainian soldiers willing to carry out the genocide of the Untermensch. Hitler would be proud and so was the US State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki, who ignored AP’s Matt Lee’s concern raised at the State Department’s meeting about the choice of the word ‘subhuman’, instead praising Ukrainian Prime Minister and his leadership as been “consistently in support of a peaceful resolution.” (later the website changed it to inhuman, but the first screenshot was already out there)

The most effective steps amongst many taken by the Ukrainian government ‘in support of a peaceful resolution’ in East Ukraine were:

1) MARIUPOL KILLINGS - intentional killing of unarmed persons by government agents;

2) ODESSA MASSACRE - carried out “unofficially” or by private groups with the government promoting and turning a blind eye to deaths;

3) LUGANSK BOMBINGS - indiscriminate civilian bombing (unlawful under Article 48, Geneva Convention);

4) SLAVYANSK SHELLINGS- indiscriminate civilian killings by shelling (as above);

5) KRAMATORSK SHELLINGS – indiscriminate civilian killings by shelling (as above).

These are but a few amongst many successful ‘peaceful’ measures taken by the Ukrainian government, that have officially claimed lives of 270 civilians (11.06.14), amongst them a 12 year old boy and 6 year old girl. The death toll is quickly rising.

Irrespective of whether you see what’s going on in Ukraine as a civil war, war against a foreign aggressor or anti-terrorist operation, the war crimes of the Ukrainian government (highlighted above in bold) amount to a textbook definition of DEMOCIDE or intentional GENOCIDE, carried out by a government during war times.

If you are still in doubt that what is happening is indeed genocide, then please continue reading, as I take you through the eight stages of genocide with concrete evidence for each stage coming from Ukraine and available online. Aside from the criminals, who have ordered and carried out the crimes, there are also individuals and media outlets that have either ignored, facilitated, encouraged, promoted or applauded one or all of the stages of this genocide. I believe that these Cheerleaders are just as much to blame as the perpetrators themselves.

No, we are not witnessing ethnic cleansing. We are witnessing a bunch of pro Russian separatists, many of whom are not even Ukrainian but imports, fighting the Ukrainian authorities.

The fact that you call the Ukrainian authorities "Nazguards" shows where your loyalties lie and this perhaps clouds your view of the situation.

Until these separatists stop causing mayhem - like shooting down aircraft - and start to talk you will continue to see the Ukrainian authorities trying to remove them. It is a messy situation, but not ethnic cleansing.

If you want to start blabbing on about ethnic cleansing you should grab a history book and look up "Ukraine and Crimea under Russian dominion".

The last I heard, it was Kiev and the army/national guard attacking cities and villages in the east, not the other way around. Maybe if they called off their dogs and stopped the indiscriminate shelling of civilians, there might be a chance for peace talks.

Oh I see, another fan of history books.
We are talking about Ukraine 2014, current events.
Start talking? Who has ever offered any talks? It was ATO straight away (or TO as we speak).
They were called terrorists from the very beginning.
Not a fan of Maidan, you are a terrorist.

Odessa massacre:

Mayor of Odessa VOLODIMYR NEMIROVSKY: “The Odessa anti-terrorist operation is legal”

OLESYA OROBETS, Deputy of SVOBODA party: “It’s a historic day for Ukraine, I’m so happy that these pesky separatists in Odessa are finally liquidated.”

Deputy of Svoboda Party IRYNA FARION with her Facebook post after Odessa Massacre: “Bravo, Odessa. Pearl of the Ukrainian spirit. Let the Devils burn in hell. Bravo.”

There's two ways to get out of this.

First way is to let these fascist radicals continue to bomb Russian pipelines to Europe. The EU will not put up with that for long.

Second option, which is what the majority of Russians and Novororissyans want, is Russia to invoke R2P and clean house with these fascist clowns. One "no fly zone" and the carpet bombing of National Guard death squad battalions and artillery positions will put them in their place right quick. And what would the USA say to that after what they did in Libya? Absolutely nothing.

Oh, yes. Those inconvenient history books! Sometime the truth hurts. However, understanding the past crimes of Russia in Ukraine may help understand why Ukrainians want to face Europe.

I guess the onus is on you to prove ethnic cleansing is underway as you are making the assertion. Pointing to pro-Russian blogs is hardly evidence, is it?

The latest news is that the Ukrainian President is calling for a ceasefire and has said Ukrainian forces will unilaterally do so.

www.independent.co.uk...

Let's hope this plan prevails and some of the pro Russian fighters can return home to Chechnya and Russia.
