We all know what happened to the Romans and it is almost a carbon copy of what is happening now in the US, but on a much larger scale meaning the fall is going to be momentous.

This is incorrect. We don't have the Goths to the north, or the huns to the east. We don't have an empire that stretches beyond our ability to manage.
While there may be some analogies that can be made....the fall of Rome has very little to do with the state of America. We are going to fail in new and novel ways.
