"Rampage" and "A Serbian Film".

Hated 'Rampage'. That clip was basically the movie. 10 minutes of shoot 'em up at the end. Boring as bleep. Fast forward to the end if you watch it.

Don't want to watch 'A Serbian Film'. I've seen enough sickness. Don't need those images bouncing around in my head, even if it is a film that's supposed to send a message about a certain groups struggles.

It tells the story of a financially struggling porn star who agrees to participate in an "art film", only to discover that he has been drafted into a snuff film with child rape and necrophilic themes.

Source, NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR NORMAL PEOPLE

You are super edgy dude.

I loved the movie Quid Pro Quo. I found it fascinating and well put together and was quite suprised by the ending. Evidently it didn't get good ratings because I have yet to meet anyone who has watched it. And when I recommend it and give a little synopsis of it they pass it up.

So I went froma 100 worst films list (A & B movies only, excluded Z movies like 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' (1959)) and the worst one that I liked was Joe Dirt w/ a RT rating of 11%. I also liked Judge Dredd RT 18% & Armageddon RT 39%.

Probably "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" (1991)

Even the trailer was cheesy but for some reason I liked the movie.

Good topic!!!

For me it is The Village by M. Night Shyamalan .

Critically and commercially people had issues with it, though it did do a box office of $256 million for a budget of $60 million, and that is because i think they expected it to be a horror film rather than what it was which was a psychological thriller in a period piece.

Part of it is the fact that it was filmed right outside Philadelphia in a place/park I know very well. Part of it is the fact that the color tones and when it was filmed remind me of Autumn which is my favorite time of year . Another part was a high quality cast that did a great job , I thought, with the material.

The biggest part is the critically acclaimed score to the film by James Newton Howard. Besides my normal tastes in music I am a huge fan of movie scores and The Village is my favorite. The Academy Awards also noticed the quality of this but nominating it for best original score in 2005.

Anyway, here is a link to the trailer on YouTube for those that haven't seen it:

"Cloud Atlas".
Good message. Seems to fly right over the top of most people's heads.

I agree. It was in my top three of the year but it tanked at the box office.

Not nominated for a single academy award.

After seeing it, I read the book and saw the movie a second time, in one week.

The movie had flaws but what it was attempting to do was head and shoulders above anything else that year.

The Notebook, my husband hates it but sometimes he just has to watch it to make me happy
even though he whines and complains and slouches the entire time!!

I always tell him "if you're a bird, I'm a bird." Apparently, he's a cat and eats birds for breakfast, lol.

There is one movie that is so bad that it may possibly be the best piece of cinema ever. That movie is called The Room. I dare anyone to find a film even approaching the poor but hilarious standard set by this film. Not even Troll 2 can compare.

Braveheart.

I think Gibson actually thought it was a serious attempt at an historical film
It turned out as a complete comedy.

Somebody mentioned the Burbs.....love it. Am a huge fan of the 80's Tom Hanks. Which brings me to my favorite that no one I know really cares for Joe VS The Volcano

Also a huge fan of The Ref, watch it every Christmas Eve. No one ever wants to watch it with me.

This is exactly why many people miss out, the movie was really good, some very funny and extremely well done and relevent songs also with a plot which while extreme does make sense and everything fits.

Damn...Now this is a film I didnt think I would see on this list..
Some parts of it were overly cheesy, other parts just made me feel like I wanted to take a hazmat shower.
Plus the crushing end.

Some other films to watch...

1. Martyrs (actually need to think to watch this film which is a nice change)
2. Inside
3. Enter the Void
4. Life and Death of a Porno Gang (not sure how I get those 2 hours of my life back)
5. Inside
6. Augusts Underground (ugh)
7. Frontier(s) ..viscous and brutal film..

Oh boy, as one who loved the cheesy genre of horror I have tons of movies most people don't appreciate. People just don't understand that the bad acting and the kornyness just adds to the hilarity.

Here's one I find stunningly brilliant, most people hate because, well it's a musical.

The novelty of this one never wears off on me.
www.youtube.com...

here's a newer one on the campy horror movie list

And who doesn't love the inner workings of Gary Busy's Mind?

Rated the best ..worst movie and I concur.

I could go on and on forever here.
