I just caught "dude wheres my car" on tv, and i realized i like some really terrible movies and it got me thinking.

What are other peoples guilty pleasure movies that the rest of the world rated as terrible?

Mornin',

I must say that I have no favorite movie much in the same way I don't have a favorite dream or illusion.
I have had enough of Hollyweird to last me a lifetime.

A strange one is the South Park movie.

Because people that think south park is puerile, a little racist/sexist/ageist at times - anyone that has said to themselves "well bob from marketing recommended it and hes an alright guy, so here goes" and watches it, loves it too. Some of the best actors and directors have given it extremely high reviews.

But to people who have judged the book by the cover, not only hate it but are sadly missing out.

Masters of the Universe (1987)

Blew me away as a kid, and I honestly believed that I had the power!

I only watch bad movies, usually. So, most of my favorites are derided by most people. However, there is one that even my bad movie buddies can't stand but which I think is a fantastic piece of work. Really, I enjoy this movie and not because of it's level of badness, I just think it's a fun ride.

1977's - Hausu (House)

The trailer doesn't really do the thing justice. You just have to watch it.

You want another one, "Battleship 2012".

It had a very basic and silly plot, but i am a sucker for aliens being shot in the face with massive canons in HD.

"Cloud Atlas".
Good message. Seems to fly right over the top of most people's heads.

Did people hate that one?

I think IMDB rated pretty well and tom hanks pretty much cant do a bad movie.

I will say though that its one of those movies you have to watch about 5 times to actually fully get, but i think it was generally well received.

I don't think it's 'hated' but do think it's underrated. "The Town". Love that movie.

No one has ever seen it, "Lonestar State Of Mind". Awesome movie. Watch it.

'S.W.A.T.'. Not good, still like it.

I dig 'Super 8' and I'm not sure how most people feel about it.

Still amazed I like it but 'Priest'. Don't get why I like it. It's bad but good.

'Serenity' doesn't seem well known/liked but I freaking love it and Firefly. Cult movie/following.

'This is England' well received but unpopular. I don't think anyone I know has seen it.

'The way of the gun' it's apparently well liked but again, no one I know has seen it.

Ha! I love South Park. It offends everyone, equally, and it's one of the few shows on TV that has the 'nads to do it. There is no subject that is off limits to Parker and Stone, and that's the reason why I love it. They'd even do Mohammad except Comedy Central chickened out.

"FUNNYMAN"

British Comedy Horror from the mind of a madman and featuring Christopher Lee. Completely wacko and entertaining for those not running with the pack.
