I stumbled upon this earlier and absolutely had to share with you guys. You can download and share your works of art as well -- here are a few of mine...

Very cool, thank you for sharing! My background is almost ALWAYS a nebula of some sort. I find them so beautiful. Here's the one I made:

Once there, click the icon at the top left to select a file from your computer, then click the arrow to upload it. Once you've uploaded an image, click on the image to display 3 links; the one you want is "BBcode for use in post:".

Yes, I scratched my head for the first 5 or 10 minutes because it's not immediateloy apparent but...

Just click, click/drag on the empty black background and colours will start to appear. You can change the colour by clicking on the coloured circles in the top left of the screen. Hope it helps!

Some additional controls:

1. Pressing CONTROLS in the upper right allows you to tweak color saturation and use presets
2. Holding down the mouse in a specific spot increases the color presentation.

Thanks Iamhobo,this is good fun-I haven't saved any images yet,just messing around-but I can see this being quite distracting if I get to into it.
I want to try to recreate actual nebulae if I can-some of the ones the hubble captured would be great but tough to get to look right.

This is awesome and a little addicting. Thanks for the heads up. I must say with a certain (noun) recently legalized in my state, one could be compelled by this for days.
