I notice a lot of people hurting, in emotional distress, traumatized and I'm wondering why?

Why wouldn't people treat each other more kindly, with more respect?

Why isn't there better mental healthcare social safety nets and help for people?

Why doesn't modern societies psychology programs adequately help people?

People don't need shrinks.

They need honest government who works in their best interest.

Right now we have a small group of sociopaths running things - which leads to injustice.

I do get what you're saying Quest. I wonder at times if we all are a bit empathic. The whole world seems to be in pain... maybe we do feel that to some degree...

As an engineer I suggest the cell towers , ect operating at brain frequencies are affecting brain waves causing many emotional problems. Not to mention the number of people sleeping with there cell phone next to them, this causes sleep deprivation from the waves from the tower and the phone as reported in the media a few weeks ago.

For starters, those in control are dedicated to population reduction.

The Illuminati agenda could care less how you feel.

All they care about is depopulation...

"The medical cartel, at the highest level, is not out to help people, it is out to harm them, to weaken them. To kill them. At one point in my career, I had a long conversation with a man who occupied a high government position in an African nation. He told me that he was well aware of this. He told me that WHO is a front for these depopulation interests." The Medical Mafia

People don't live anymore. They've ran away from pain and suffering for too long that they now mimic it.

I think its because of the world we live in. Everybody is fighting for survival in one way or another. One small thing can change and turn your world upside down and the stress from knowing that, consciously or unconsciously, is putting people in a primal survival state. Loss of a job, getting harassed by police, fear of violence from all the media fear mongering, WW3, terrorist, money becoming more and more worthless each day... the world is a scary place.

There was once a much simpler time when people were allowed to take care of themselves, now everybody is dependent on one thing or another. Constant fear being pounded in to our heads from the media, even if you avoid television, radio and the internet, people will still tell you all about this weeks big bad scare tactic.

I don't have studies to back it up, but I would be willing to bet that mental illness and emotional problems are very rare the more rural the community. The most isolated, rural communities are probably the happiest overall as well.

It's a lose/lose situation and until the people as a whole are sick of it, nothing will change. Those few who see the problems and are already sick of it are increasing in numbers, so eventually change will occur, but sadly I do not expect it to happen in my lifetime.

In our nation everything is treated with a pill, than big pharma money influences in congress for that, so do not expect anymore from a doctor than an antidepressant for your inside hurting.

When the hurt doesn't get alleviated that is when we get mass shootings and suicides.

a reply to: marg6043 You are correct. Anyone seeking help through the system is givin a pill no matter what. That is the extent of mental care in the u.s. The drug companies pay the state for every patient that takes a pill and moniters reactions of patient for profit. You are not allowed to talk to anyone that can help you for any reason other than judgement of you using the dsm methoeds.

Because at this point, we have been sold that line that we are all just rats in a bag for so long that we are starting to act like it.

This is why I don't take pills of any kind, I don't even use aspirin. Weare supposed to let our bodies deal with whatever comes along when possible. This is how we build our immune systems, this is also how we stay in a strong frame of mind. The human race was just fine before pharmaceuticals and we will get better after the removal of pharmaceuticals.

In Canada, I feel it's impossible to see a psychologist unless a doctor refers you or the court etc. otherwise we would have to pay out of pocket and many of us simply can't afford it. Doctors will refer to psychiatrists much more readily, but these run with the pharma industry.

People are told to just get over it, no one wants to hear your problems. And then, they hear other people say that they have more sympathy for animals. We care more about an abused animal than an abused child! I always think, maybe, just maybe if one person had cared when I was a kid...but every person I turned to for help was the "I love my animals more than people" type.

What I have learned in life:
Experiencing child abuse, don't tell, telling makes things worse.

Have a difficulty in your life? Don't ask for help, asking for help makes things worse.

Experience death, especially the loss of your children? Don't talk about it, don't show your sadness if it has been more than a couple months. Every one excepts you to move on quickly, if you can't and you need more time to grieve, there is something wrong with you. 10 months is to long to still be having such a rough time.

You know the worst part, when someone asks if you have kids, when motherhood has been apart of your life so long and you don't know how to respond anymore. When you don't know how to respond or talk about it so you make posts on ATS as if they are still around because sometimes it is just easier that way.
You can't sleep at night, but you know the judge who ordered your kids to go with a man who had a suspended licenses due to multiple DUI's , sleeps just fine at night.

I reached out and reached out only to have my hand slapped every time. Only to be slapped more by them telling me I should have asked for help! Um, when I was screaming at the top of my lungs for help, you were the same people telling me to toughen up and not ask for help. (I am not bitter, I swear)

I have had to go to work the next day after death and act like nothing is wrong and put a smile on my face because it was a brand new job and I was in probationary period.

I have experienced death and after the first day, no one seemed to care, it was all on me to take care of everything when I mentally was barley able to. You hear of people cooking sympathy meals or flowers or cards. Well I have lost every single blood relative I every had, and never got that. I think it is just a T.V. thing.

I have always been everyone else shoulder to cry one, but when I have needed a shoulder, I was asking too much. So now, I just can't anymore because I become to resentful. Ya know, there is only so much "being strong" A person can take.

Oh and guess what happens if you call a suicide hotline, they tell you to ask family (mine are all dead so that really stings) and then they tell you to sleep it off, 3 minute conversation at best. I guess I am kind of lucky that I stopped when the knife didn't do deep enough with the first cut. Only one person on ATS seemed to notice what I was planning on doing that night even though plenty of people read and commented on that thread. (It was someone elses thread not mine)

Just another don't reach out lesson.

Now I am just to tired and to burnt out to care anymore.

All of the above AND
it is very difficult to wake up in this facade of a reality. I know because I'm smack in the middle of it. I have a family to provide for, but knew that my 'career' was bull****. I worked as an electrical engineer for the 'premiere' mainframe company for the past 12 years. Who did I build systems for? The Big Banks and the '3 letter govt acronyms who we talk so negatively about on ATS'. I started waking up a few years ago, watching everyone get 'resource actioned' (aka. fired), watching everyone squirm and wonder how long before they were gone, wondering if there was going to BE a retirement in the future. How could I come home at night, and shout against the machine that I was HELPING TO CREATE!?!?! How many of us still work for big corporations, big govt entities, and big lies that steal our time, our creativity, and our souls...and give us little more than a paycheck and good dose of fear?

Hell, how is anybody suppose to be happy in this mess...unless they have a boatload of cash and a mission with purpose? People can't catch up with bills, can't even see the surface of the debt pool that they're drowning in, can't see any possibility of retiring. We can't survive without a 'Two income household' anymore. How is anybody suppose to raise a kid in this environment? Both parents beating their heads against the wall trying to catch up. Parents, who actually STAY together, don't have the slightest bit of patience and capacity to spend the amount of time NECESSARY to raise their children properly, because they don't even have enough time to unwind at the end of the day for THEMSELVES! Parents who break up...well, that's just the culmination of the prior situation never getting better...and just drives a deeper divide between kids and how reality should be. The sh*t has got to stop.

It's far from over for me. I fireb*mbed my career for the past year and a half...just waiting to be let go (had wagers with my coworkers about when it would be). Why wait to get kicked out? In my mind, I didn't really WANT to get fired, but I knew I was too afraid to leave on my own...so I had a battle of depression, anger, hatred, and a desire to get out. It culminated in me being kicked to the curb in March. Now I'm trying to get an organic/biodynamic farm running our our property (suppose to wake up in 4 hours to harvest....darg, gonna be a long day at the market). Will it pay the bills? It'll hardly touch them. Do I feel more whole as a human being...every waking moment.

But, am I happy? Well, I'd say I'm more healed, but still far from happy. I do still worry about how I'm going to provide for the family. I do still worry about the world and the state that it's in. I still wake up every morning and realize that I have no idea WHO I am, I have no idea WHAT I am, I have no idea what THIS place is, and I have no idea IF I have a purpose in it.

I need to get back into the technology field, but on MY terms. I see Tesla released their patents to the open source community...well, there's a company that I'll send my resume to. I see that MIT released a study showing 50% of American children will have Autism by 2025, with glyphosate being one of the biggest 'possible' causes. If I was in the bio field, I'd find out where I could work to develop a home test for parents to test their childrens' urine/blood for glyphosate (I'd wager parents who don't give a hooey about Monsanto would likely change their tune when they found out how much round-up was in their kids.)

Am I happy? F**K NO.. I'm angry, I'm depressed, I'm scared, and I'm feeling lost and alone.

Am I awake? More and more every single day. And I finally have a mission in this story, because I finally cut my strings.
