Then they don't really care about corruption in government. They only care about ideology at any cost.

Sad, really.

Not only do they cast the "don't care" along with the standard "it doesn't make any difference" illusion, they actually encourage corruption.

They absolutely 100% are in favor of that system.

Very sad indeed and very very dangerous.

Maybe it was because TEA party groups tend to be anti American, and closer in makeup to the Taliban.

Desperation has no bounds.

The "Tea Party" is the *Closest* thing to "American" right now.

No she wasn't doing her GD job.

Government agencies are suppose to be APOLITICAL.

As in their only function is to obey and enforce the law.

Clearly the IRS doesn't think that.

Just like DHS,DOJ,ICE,EPA and a whole slew of others.

That are nothing but the gestapo arm of the executive branch of the administration.

or; she was following her orders from above.

Something like this is not just a small condensed effort.

It took 100's of people and a master plan.

Non-Governmental organizations have much influence.

George Soros has been at this for quite some time.

(May 2013 story)

As IRS efforts targeting politically-conservative groups gained momentum, George Soros-funded liberal groups repeatedly called on the IRS to investigate conservative nonprofit organizations.

While the first reported instances of extra IRS scrutiny for conservative groups began in Cincinnati in March of 2010, the attacks began to pick up steam on a national level soon after Soros-funded groups began firing off letters to the IRS in October of that year - following the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling.

The talking points of these groups then bounced around a carefully created progressive "echo chamber," until they eventually made their way into established media outlets. Key IRS policy changes about how it investigated conservative groups took place soon after it received three separate letters sent by Soros-funded liberal organizations.

Soros Gave $6.1 Million to Groups Linked to Pressure on IRS to Target Conservative Nonprofits

Soros has hundreds of those juicy 501(c)(4) outfits all over the place.

Citizens United put him in a wild frenzy rage.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Soros financed the whole IRS targeting thing. He's an expert bribe artist. He's brilliant.

Very aggressive competition involved.

And Soros works at smaller levels as well....

A small tax-exempt political group with ties to wealthy liberals like billionaire financier George Soros has quietly helped elect 11 reform-minded progressive Democrats as secretaries of state to oversee the election process in battleground states and keep Republican “political operatives from deciding who can vote and how those votes are counted.”

Known as the Secretary of State Project (SOSP), the organization was formed by liberal activists in 2006 to put Democrats in charge of state election offices, where key decisions often are made in close races on which ballots are counted and which are not.

The group’s website said it wants to stop Republicans from “manipulating” election results.

Then Lois Lerner wouldn't have had to plead the 5th.
The IRS wouldn't have stone-walled on document releases.
The IRS wouldn't have "lost" 2 years worth of emails.

Innocent people don't plead the 5th.

They don't have to.

I think pleading the 5th was very smart of her, keeps her from being thrown under the bus anymore so than she already is.

I have to applaud the IRS, most government agencies would be happy to use one of their employees as a scapegoat for a scandal.

Issa is clearly not interested in finding the truth, the manner in which he's conducted these investigations show that clearly. rather he just wants a statement he can spin into a confession of some guilt. Picking it apart asking about each word, getting the person being examined tired/fatigued/frusterated/flustered to the point where they begin to make self-incriminating statements.

Heck I could see all these investigations (the sheer number of them, all the hearings, the pain in the ass it must be to have to schedule your life around said hearings and investigations) as almost a form of torture, a subtle form, but one that has the same effect (gets people to confess to anything just to get it to stop).

Self incrimination is akin to being "thrown under a bus"?

Spinspinspin!

So you admit there is a scandal.

That's a start at least.

Misdirection.

This is about the IRS and the corruption that goes all the way to the White House.

Misdirection.

There is a report that concludes there was no white house involvement, it cites several of the interviews with IRS employess that took place during the hearings/investigations.

Oh, i see, so according to you, she doesn't deserve any of the rights afforded to citizens of this country under the bill of rights bused only on your perceived notion of her impropriety.

So if YOU don't like a person politically, they cannot have rights. and we are supposed to support the TEA Party?

How are we supposed to support an ideology that can't afford all citizens the same protections under the constitution?

Sounds to me like the TEA Party needs extra scrutiny. But once again the TEA Party shows us all that the reality of the situation is that they are the American equivalent of the Taliban, rights for some, oppression for the rest.

Direct question to HauntWok and NonsensicalUserName:

Do either of you actually believe that two critical years of Lois Lerner's Emails were lost due to an innocent computer crash?

eh seems plausible, not enough reliable information to come to an actual conclusion.

are you saying computers never crash and data is never lost by accident?

Lerner, and the IRS said the TPM, and other conservatives don't have any rights.

So why cry foul now eh ?

So if YOU don't like a person politically, they cannot have rights. and we are supposed to support the IRS, and Lerner?

Fixed it for ya.

I honestly don't know, it is plausible, especially in the light of Chinese parts being used in government computers.

Really ?

REALLY ?

Do you not find it 'odd' that the IRS was specifically targeting the administrations critics.

Supposedly Lerner did that all her 'own'.

Yeah right.
