More like an equipment test. How will all these jet turbines work with all of this sand. Communications, sand storms, heat, etc. The answer we make some really fine equipment compared to our enemies.


More truth to that than many might guess IMO.. When all that was left of the country was Phnom Penh Cambodia all the surrounding area was being used for R&D.. Fuel air bombs that would creep into every hole in the ground before ignition and cluster munitions were being perfected . Many a time I wondered how much smaller the defense circle could shrink before all was lost..
