They may have left the White House “dead broke,” as Hillary Clinton claimed, but she and Bill Clinton cashed in so fast and big that they sit atop the list of former first couples who struck gold after the presidency

Dead broke eh?

Ole Bill got a nice 'severance' package from his stint as 'Potus' when he left.

Since leaving office, according to financial records and news reports, they have earned at least $155 million from speeches, salaries and book deals, easily outpacing the post-White House incomes of other former presidential families and distancing themselves from the time when Bill Clinton deducted $2 apiece for used underwear donated to an Arkansas charity.

Ole Bill and Hill are 1% er's!

What's more, through the kindness of friends and the successful and richly-funded Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, they've received travel and other benefits. The Foundation itself has assets of $257 million and has spent $50 million on travel expenses.

Hmmm!

Overall, their net worth is about $80 million, dwarfing their nearest challenger for the wealth title, former President George W. Bush, at $35 million, according to the popular website Celebrity Net Worth.

Hows that ?

His critics said GW got 'rich' off the wars apparently no very.

And the 'Clintons' triple ?

For example, their books -- including the anticipated $8 million from Hillary's new memoir Hard Choices -- account for about $40 million. Bill Clinton earned $106 million in speeches through 2013. Hillary has earned an estimated additional $5 million in speeches since leaving the State Department.

Why would Hilary want to run for Potus ?

She would be taking a pay cut.

Found this interesting, and it exposes the cognitive dissonance of her party.

But,but, but Hilary ?

'You didn't build that' !!!!!!!!

Sure.

Over all, at least 268 of the 534 current members of Congress had an average net worth of $1 million or more in 2012, which is the year covered by the reports that each lawmaker had to file in 2013.

Yeah because we frown upon rich people running for office....

Hillary is a known pathological liar.

It's in her genetic code.

She definitely needs professional psychiatric help.

Pretty sure Mitt's problem was that he had the Charisma of a fist, not that he was rich...

Who cares how rich they are? It's true they were broke after Bill ended his Presidency, because REPUBLICANS forced him into paying millions of dollars of legal fees to defend himself against a blowjob of all things.

So let's not forget the cause and effect relationship of the circumstances.

Matters a great deal to some, but only when they happen to have a R by their names:

Like Cheney.
Like the Kochs.
Like the 'Bush's'
Like the 'Rothchilds'.
Like the 'Rockefellers'.

IT's always who cares when there is a D by their names:

Like the Gores, the Soros, the CLintons, etc.

Hillary Clinton made the “dead broke” comment when ABC’s Diane Sawyer asked, “You’ve made five million making speeches? The President’s made more than $100 million?” Read more: www.nydailynews.com...

Clinton said: “First of all, we had to pay off all our debts, which was, you know, he had to make double the money because of obviously taxes and then pay off the debts and get us houses and take care of family members.” Read more: www.nydailynews.com...

You bring up a really interesting point.

With all their money, why would she want the presidency?

I'm just guessing here, but it's for power. Control.

Perhaps an agenda?

That's a given that anyone can take to any fiat currency bank.

It is not a big deal that the Clintons are wealthy. The big deal is lying and pretending to be broke.

Chelsea's wedding was estimated at 3 million. The cake alone was 7 grand.

They are oligarchs.

Did Bill have to pay out of his pocket or did it cost the taxpayers?

Either way it was a waste of time.

This is insane, i remember a while back there was a scandal in quebec when people heard that an out going prime minister of the province is given a painting from a quebec artist, then they sell it for 150k to a museum as a go away gift.

150 million dollars for speeches just wow

That's an odd statement. Do you think people should run for President in the hopes of making millions?

Yeah it's insane since the bulk of that was made by a guy who was 'impeached'.

I want to know if Bill is still tapping that ass.

Did she cut him off? What's going on in that strange marriage?

That puts Bill Clinton in about 9th place for Presidential net worth behind:

George Washington
Thomas Jefferson
Theodore Roosevelt
Andrew Jackson
James Madison
Lyndon Johnson
Herbert Hoover
Franklin D. Roosevelt

and right ahead of JFK who would actually have been top of the list had he not been assassinated.

Or the very least she should have invested in some ginkgo biloba extract for her memory, but then again she can't play that card anymore.
