A few days ago I started to watch a britsh documantary about the second world war. This 1973 series called The World At War is the best documentation of the WWII I've ever seen. With a lot images of the most extensive film archives from the different countries at war I got a good idea of the terrible circumstances civillians and soldiers had to cope with.

It is almost unbelievable how cruel people can become and what people can do to eachother. People can turn into vicious pigs... and for what?

Thinking that countries go to war because in most cases highly educated people support the idea that their country must. And after that decision is made horde of other educated people agree and follow their leaders as dogs in heat. As if the first world war did not make any impression and had no lessons to offer other than how to kill in a more efficient way.

So, is there something wrong with our biological design and will we never learn? Are greed, envy and other such negative basic instincts an excuse for us to deny our moral and humanity? Or are we just too far away in evolution to reach that consciousness. What does it take to become aware that bashing in someones head is not the answer for problems.. What on Earth can be said to make mankind understand that starting a war is not an option... ever. Maybe things aren't that simple. You must be able to defent your country when someone is trying to invade it... right? Maybe a world government isn't a bad idea afterall..

Anywys, if the motivation for going to war is reviving an economy by the manufacturing of weapons there surely must be an other 'product' people can make which is less damaging to it fellow human. Maybe we should in that case concentrate on making space stuff in order to reap the treasures other planets have to offer...

Just some thoughts because after watching this documantary my stomach is full with war... I highly recommend everybody to watch this 1973 documantary with 26 episodes...which is narrated by Laurence Olivier btw.

What can we do, what can we do...

Thx for sharing your thoughts on the subject.

Nah i say humans at peace with greed and whats needed and whats necessary.

Greed is allowed to run rampant, if people just wanted a comfortable life and not an impossible weathly life, everything would go alot smoother.

Remove competition and there will be no war. On the other hand, remove competition and there will be no survival either. Every species that continues to compete will surpass us. If you're not keeping up, you're falling behind, and if you fall too far behind, you're no longer in the race.

"The World at War" is a fantastic series. I first watched it as a kid back in the seventies. And have seen it numerous times since then.

Glad to see people are still discovering it and marveling at its brilliance.

For the Guides to sit in ORBIT like parents watching the offspring @ play...

Or for more truth to be shared of what happens to Certain souls caught up in deceptive acts during life/ death as far as what attracts to those specific souls during transition phases in the life and death phases within Existence... If many knew perhaps they wouldn't act out.

1 feels Humanity has came a long way but does need to mature more and maybe the Teachers will help Guide more from more observable positions in Orbit as opposed to the Overseers who await the souls transitioning later hidden.

Even without Humans there will be wars, it's a thing in nature that apparently can't be avoided.

Survival of the fittest.

We seem to be intelligent and should therefore be able to use our voice instead of fist, But the hidden nature of above in us makes "us" act differently and be very unintelligent.

We are just nature....

Humans are not the only species to engage in warfare.

Technology could do it. If we have something like replicators from star trek, that was able to meet our needs. But Greed would stand in the way of that.

Animal or insect war is not the same... it is born out of survival instinct...

Human war is born out of greed and hatred.

See the difference?

What would it take for humans to stop engaging in war?

We would all have to be genetically altered to take out our greed and ego traits.
But then we would die off-as the "fight" we have in us is what allowed us to thrive as a species.

Human war is born out of greed and hatred.

The baseline is still to survive.

You call it "survival" when it's animals and "greed" when it's humans. Same thing, semantics aside. So no, I don't see the difference. I see you splitting hairs.

As long as there is hatred, predjudice, indifference, conceit, sarcasm and derision in the world....we wont know or find Peace. Love and care by/for and from all the masses on this planet may be the only answer.

And its not coming anytime soon.***

**A line to think about this topic from the Beatles:
"And? In the END...the LOVE you TAKE...is equal to the love...you MAKE!" In other words...peace is a tradeoff. Get rid of all negativity and hatred...we could have peace. Its all what we put into it, to get what we want OUT of it.

To be overly simplistic - a lack of currency. Instead, use barter and trade.

Maybe people would just do what they love, live their lives with friends and family and stop going head over heals for paper that's not backed by any real material goods.

We will always war until one group is left, and than that group will go to war because one side will feel strongly about a particular thing that the other side disagrees with. Than when one of those two groups win, the victorious group(s) after some time will again splinter off, etc etc etc.

It'll continue to be this way until there is one human left, who's left hand will go to war with his right hand.

One must first realize that all war is deception.

War is a concept that cannot be defeated or erased from humanity as its a part of humanity.

Conflict is in our minds,

If you are asking what it takes to live in world without physical violence towards each other that is a result of various reasons we are told to fight and kill, then the answer I can give is don't fall the deception being fed to you from any hand that says you need to fight for these reasons they will attempt to manipulate you into fighting.

War will always a part of minds, but we can stop the physical warring between ourselves and continue having conflicts in our mind as long as those conflicts don't step out of our minds and attempt to manipulate anothers.

Spot the deception and stop the war.

Sometimes the deception can be so ingrained in our minds that we refuse to see similarities and a unity of all that could create a new paradigm and blindly focus on amplifying our differences.

People need to wake up to themselves and what they really want and all war stops.

The deception and manipulation blind many to themselves wanting to live more than them wanting another to die to protect interests of a national or religious nature.
