Gonna get flamed for this , but here goes.

Before I start..... I have been doing free work with people who have life threatening or severe mobility issues due to all kinds of reasons for 10 years. Completely free of charge.

No I do not want to sell you anything. I am mortician by trade. You are already a customer in waiting.

(1) I personally think both conditions are real CFS and Fibro.

I have seen people treat both and recover 100%. But there is no "cure" .

(2) CFS and Fibro support groups are the enemy of these conditions being taken seriously. 90% are just lazy and looking for a cure all pill. As long as zero real effort is involved, they will gladly try anything. They are nothing more than pity parties and a feeding ground for scam nutritionists.

I have seen people with MD, MND , Parkinson's etc... put more effort into their condition with less whinging. And these people are actually dying.

So remember that when you go to a health professional. Their negative experiences will taint how they treat you.

Those groups are full of white , 30+ females , who's sense of self entitled to great health is mind blowing. And most are alternative health nutters. And they are all suffering more than any other person has suffered before.

(3) These conditions are unknown in 3rd world countries. As in most countries. ( funny coincidence )

There can be many causes of CFS, this I am certain.

Depression can cause it to, I know from first hand experience.

Hi. I know that depression can run along side CSF (I suffer with depression as well but had no symptoms for 2 years). From what I have read the pointer is to do with motivation. People with CSF do not lose motivation, only energy. With depression motivation and often energy is lost.

Hi. This is certainly something that would appeal to me if my energy levels improve. I am off to my mum's in Spain next week and will be using the pool for gentle exercise (to hot to walk there and I can only manage 50m).

Hey thanks for all the information you have given in your posts (you must be a quick at typing!). I know some people take 8000,10000 and 15000 IU of Vit D so thought my physician had put me on a low dose. I also had full iron studies done which showed ferritin at the low end of normal and transferrin saturation index was extremely low (my Hb was 14). I don't take iron supplements and only eat red meat occasionally.

I know many with CFS take magnesium supplements religiously and gauge their dose on whether they get diarrhoea which is a symptom of taking too much. I have tried cutting down on salt due to being recently diagnosed with borderline hypertension.

I have read some frightening stuff on soy sauce and avoid it like the plague now.

This is very interesting. Thanks for the links. I will mention these at my next specialist appointment. MY CRP is normal although my ESR was slightly raised. One of my symptoms is intermittent paresthesia and muscle twitching, especially to upper and lower limbs and also abdomen. I was diagnosed with ulnar neuropathy 20 years ago after nerve conduction tests. I have it constantly to the point i forget its there (numbness to little finger and outer side of next finger).

Thanks for your post and advice. I know that many CFS sufferers have thyroid problems but fortunately that was one of the first things to be eliminated in my blood screen.

My fatigue specialist used an analogy to describe the treatment of CFS. She told me to imagine a very big house in the middle of winter with the central heating on and all the windows are open. Regulating sleep closes one window, optimising vitamin deficiencies closes another window. the problem is you have to close 10-12 windows to get the house warm. She said a lot fall down in the sense that they close 1 or 2 windows and the house does not get warm so they open those two windows again and try to close another window.

I am not convinced that this cures CSF but I think it makes sense in relation to optimizing all aspects of health which may help promote a remission.

Hi. I have been using an E Cig for months. Also my mum got me a juicer a few months ago and she comes up with amazing drinks everyday. She has experimented and has a knock of mixing vegetable with fruit. One of my favourites has spinach, orange, lemon and pears in it.

Hi. I look forward to reading your story. I have learned that we basically work on a damaged battery that only recharges to say 50%. Right from the early days of getting this illness you HAVE to adapt your life to this limitation. Many people don't and they deteriorate very quickly and they realise the damaged battery has fallen to 45% on recharge.

The adaptation is a behavioural modification called Pacing

I believe that pacing is the most single effective intervention in the treatment of CFS/ME. I have found that is has stabilised my condition in the last few months and it has also given me a sense of control.

There is no cure for CFS. The scientific community still have not reached a consensus on what CFS is. I think like many chronic conditions CFS sufferers have remissions and relapses (some prefer the word crash). The disability from severe CFS/ME has been compared to end-stage renal failure, end-stage COPD and end-stage cardiac failure.

The fact that some people get better, some stabilise and some deteriorate with and without treatment/interventions suggest that maybe we are not all suffering from the same illness. Some people have claimed to have tried everything and yet they continue to deteriorate.

When you say these conditions are unknown in third world countries that does not mean that they don't exist. Mental health facilities do not exist in many middle east countries. Does this mean mental health does not exist there?

I had what I would call glandular fever or (infectious mononucleosis) although I tested negative to Epstein-Barr,
so I think it was cytomegalovirus (CMV) although I was never properly diagnosed.

Anyway after an acute viral illness which went away in about 2 weeks I had extreme fatigue which lasted a year and a half.
CMV is a herpesvirus which means the body never really fights it off, it is always dormant, and can come back when the body is run down.
The solution for me was the herb astragalus which has been shown to revitalise the immune system. It really worked for me.

One complication for me was that I then went on to being gluten intolerant which also made me feel really tired. Now I am gluten free too I feel much better.

Good luck!

I see some armchair doctors here, who constantly denounce ADD/ADHD as a fake condition, claiming fibromyalgia/cfs is as real as it gets. Guess it's only real when it affects YOU personally isnt it? Such ignorant, narrow-minded arrogance ffs!

Hello Earthblaze.. thank you for writing up this thread.. I find that you are awfully articulate and that your intellectual faculties are terribly sharp, for that reason, I think you will be able to come out of this on top..

Initially, I thought that perhaps this had to do with satellite technology, ElectroMagneticWeapons, Neurological/Brain Mind Control technologies, might actually be responsible for your ailments, since there are many Targeted Individuals, who actually go through similar phases of chronic fatigue while being attacked or subjected by these advanced modern technologies-- you might like to do some research on Robert Duncan and his books, or look up stories and testimonies of Targeted Individuals- there are many. The only difference though, is that in their cases, there is normally a series of other symptoms, such as voice targetting (hearing voices) and then also alot of activity that would appear similar to paranormal activity, when it is actually satellite technology and mind control! It was an idea I wanted to share with you, it might be of interest- here is a great website to learn about it all: Swedish website,
in English-- www.mindcontrol.se .

Consulting medicine in Europe and their approach to this is another good idea-

Satellite technology, Chemtrails, Smart meters: listen to Deborah Tavares on youtube See her website stopthecrime.net... Also, I don't know why, but your story reminds me of what people with Morgellons are going through.. Do you know much about Morgellons?
Look that one up as well, because in that instance, doctors tell people that they are hallucinating about their own symptoms! The doctors conspire right along with the power structure to keep people quiet, disoriented, and isolated. Morgellons as well is very disturbing..

There is evidence though in that case, that links it to modern warfare technologies.

I can't argue with that.

I've wondered if many CFS cases could be attributed to hormonal imbalance. Perimenopause and menopause can have really bizarre symptoms and manifestations.

Additionally, with chronic pain or fatigue, I wonder if some could have a damaged or hypersensitive vagus nerve.

However, even given all of those possible factors, I don't discount their experiences since we live in such a polluted and contaminated world. The breakdown, I think, occurs in modern medicine not being very practical or holistic in it's approach. Or even very caring or interested for that matter.

What pisses me off is that the dismissive attitude of the medical community leaves it wide open for people who are suffering to be taken advantage of by charlatans.

I am right now, listening to Lars Drudgaard from Denmark,he is a co-host with Jesse Beltran at www.icaact.org International Center Against Abuse of Covert Technologies - icaact.org... Listen to the May 10th radio/audio broadcast with these two gentlemen-- they have very interesting things to say about the Danish government, and the types of current controls being placed on Danish populations-- icaact.org...

I suppose it's relevant since much of this satellite technology is operating quite strongly in much of Northern Europe, namely Denmark, Sweden, but in other countries as well. See this link too! www.mindcontrol.se...

Here is Deborah Tavares: stopthecrime.net...

Karina Hansen committed to a ward/hospital in the modern Medico-Pharma-Psychiatric Police State-- very dangerous

She could be an experimentee of some sort of technology-- MK Ultra etc. I do not simply trust science and medicine
anymore..

I am saying that too little salt makes you weak. But, I promote using Sea salt and avoiding highly processed foods. The thing I noticed when switching from a processed food diet to a healthier diet was that I wound up with hyponutremia and this made me weak. Only five percent of people with hypertension have a problem with salt causing it. Too little salt in the diet is much more dangerous than two little in most people as sodium and chloride are both necessary for trafficing waste from the cells. Potassium is needed within the cells for that purpose, boosting potassium helps clean the cells and the salt is used to haul these toxins out. Salt is like the garbage truck hauling the trash to the dump. Potassium is like the people cleaning the house. But both of these need the chloride. So this is important. Now Taurine works with the salt to stimulate the kidneys to work, I suppose you can compare that to the transfer station where the garbage is sent to the dump. Taurine is used in Europe for help with insulin resistance as it is necessary all along this detox route, without it nothing works. Also blood potassium helps to stimulate the kidneys, if it isn't there things do not work right. Metaformin here does a comparable thing. Taurine is formed from NAC in the body if all enzymes are present, but if you are like a cat, and do not possess the enzyme, then you need to consume it. It is in raw meats. I don't know how to create it from NAC in the soup pot or cooking.

So examine your diet, do not believe everything people are telling you even if they have degrees. They are taught to parrot what they are told. Lots of the calming food chemistry that is pushed on us can cause some people to get off balance, our metabolism is personal. What changes in your diet did you make within six months before these problems occur. Some imballances can take over a year to manifest as our body has reserves that slowly get depleted. There are also age related changes that occur, as we age we can make less enzymes and sometimes build antigens to foods we overate which caused imbalances of microbes to occur in our gut. Listen to your body first and think back to what may have triggered this to happen. The liver, thyroid, and adrenal gland are all needed to produce the chemicals needed for some sorts of energy production. Now, if you reduced meat consumption too much, you could have reduced the beta blockers to the adrenal gland, this could off balance things. This has nothing to do with iron, but it can effect the iron levels.

Every change we make in our diet means we have to make other changes to correct it to balance things out. Now I say, if it is not broke, don't be completely overhauling it. Gradually introduce one chemistry in to see if it can be improved. Your problems may have come from changes made, changes you did not think were even related to your condition. Then you have to go to the doctor or the pharmacy and try to find pills to correct the imbalance.

You are the only one who can correct this problem by observing things. You are in the right place here because many here stress awareness as important. A nutritionist can give you help in correcting this, but you should be examining where you went wrong in the first place. If I take a multivitamin tablet more than once or twice a week, I start feeling like crap. My diet contains a lot of vitamins but is mineral deficient. My diet contains plenty of tyramines and this keeps me up and running, yet plant based glutamates don't taste right. So I listen to my body, you need to start listening to it. The glutamates hijack our cravings. Sugar can hijack or cravings. So can excessive tyramines. But we still need all three moderately in our diet. They keep us social and feeling good. They keep us from needing medications to adjust depression. Too much of these and we wind up needing pills also. You have to find your balance.
