Just wondering how you feel about the economy.

Do you believe that Obama is responsible for the middle class shrinking?

LOL Wow, you just missed the global recession and American recession that started under Bush, who was a republican. Looks like Conservative policies aren't good either. It always amazes me that you can't see any fault with conservatives. You really can't?

That DID NOT start under Bush.

That was decades in the making.

Hell when liberal policies make products so expensive they can be made cheaper 10,000 miles away and shipped here than them being made 1 mile away from where people live.

Stuff like that.

How about liberals start actually being liberal instead of being the antithesis of what the word means ?

Republicans have there issues to, as in conservatives.

They are democrat lite and should be called as much.

No one living has see what a real GD republican, 'conservative' looks like.

I can tell you what 'liberal' isn't , and that is not about pushing the acceptance of a greater role of government in my life.

Like gun control. regulations out the snip. like not forcing people to buy corporate products like healthcare, homes, education, and the rest of materialistic greed, and playing robbing hood.

That is not being a liberal.

That is being ignorant of what the word means.

But that is what passes for 'liberal' in the modern vernacular.

If some one is pro 2nd Amendment, then they can not be a liberal?

Reaganomics is largely responsible for the gap of wealth that keeps on growing and the down-sizing of the middle class. Not Obama, Not Clinton, it was Ronald Reagan who helped get this going.

I do agree, over-regulation is bad, bureaucratic regulation is bad, however regulation is necessary otherwise all over rivers and lakes would be dumps for industrial waste and other trash.....

Oh wait that already happened.

Pro second amendment is PRO second amendment.

We do not need thousands of laws for something that is already addressed by the law.

See superfluous laws that make something that is already illegal more 'illegal'.

We have a law that says we can't murder each other.

So why do we need more laws for something that is illegal ?

No.

As in 'trickle up economics' has been an epic FAILURE.

The liberal 'WAR on POVERTY' the longest war in American history has been an abject FAILURE.

As there are now more people broke, more dependent upon government for their existence than at any other time in American history.

And no that began with FDR, and had a mega dose of epic stupidity by Johnson.

The biggest reasons are :

Fiat currency to the point trillions of worthless paper have been printed for DECADES.

The more fiat currency the less value dollars have, the more dollars it takes to buy things.

But that again there is what this is all about.

Money and things.

And the argument between right, and left is who should be paying for those things.

The left says it's the governments responsibility to provide for the materialistic WANTS of the masses.

The right says no.

And there has always been a difference in wages between SKILLED, and UNSKILLED labor.

As we have lost our industrial capacity that has been outsourced that 'gap' has increased.

Once again that has been DECADES in the making.

I do not think anyone would call Nixon a liberal.

As a result of Reaganomics, the middle class pays 30%+ in taxes while billionaires pay 15% and often much less. Many economist agree this alone squeezes the middle class.

It is a GD apples to oranges comparison.

The simple fact rich people make their wealth in investment vehicles.

Such as stocks, and bonds that is taxes at a capital gains rate.

But that wasn't enough.

The liberal in the oval office create more taxes that takes us to double taxation jeporady:

As in the medicare capital gains tax, that effects the middle class more so as their pensions, and IRA's and 401's are taxed as well.

But that wasn't good enough that same liberal ideology created the 'Alternative minimum tax' that is triple taxation.

The rich ?

Since income tax is progressive in this country meaning the more a person makes the MORE they pay.

But then again since the majority in this country is not payingincome tax but them evil rich folks are.

And that tax revenue paid in by them rich folks introduces new wealth that replaces the money that is being paid for the middle class, and poors benefits.

Also,

Realistically the middle class pays an even higher tax rate. Things such as property tax, car registration, gas tax, sales tax, other misc taxes here and there which add up and truly take a toll on someone living paycheck to paycheck.

Those same taxes are insignificant to the high roller.

Please watch this documentary.

I disagree that the liberal machine wins hands down.

No one is better than the conservative machine in getting their followers to continually vote against their interest. Fox News is part of that machine.

Oh for crying out loud! Make it stop! Fox News is nothing compared to the liberal media machine. Fox News has to be good at what they do. Because they don't have 90% of the MSM helping them out. And BTW, I'm not a fan of Fox News. I'm just saying. But as good as they are at taking an agenda that most of America doesn't support and defending it admirably every day, they are not nearly as effective or as clever as the sprawling liberal machine they're up against.

Eventually, Fox News will be completely defeated and gone from the media landscape. At that time, there will not be an alternative to liberal media unless something changes drastically between now and then. They are but a sliver of resistance and they are not even a real alternative (as you have correctly pointed out).

Realistically the middle class gets more benefits than the money they paid in.

Because if they were paying more ?

We would not be borrowing trillions of dollars.
We would not be printing trillions of dollars.
There would be no need to rob from the rich.

Social security,medicare,medicaid are absolute scams.

And the biggest beneficiaries of ss, and medicare is the middle class.

www.usdebtclock.org...

n 2010 alone, government at all levels oversaw a transfer of over $2.2 trillion in money, goods and services. The burden of these entitlements came to slightly more than $7,200 for every person in America. Scaled against a notional family of four, the average entitlements burden for that year alone approached $29,000.

online.wsj.com...

But then again people think it 'liberal' to take money from a minority to pay for the majority!

That is the epitome of what the word anthesis means.

Yeah well considering the largest expenditures of current federal spending are on WELFARE programs called social security, and medicare, and medicaid.

Where people get more benefits than the money paid in ?

THAT IS WELFARE.

Now if they were paying 100% instead of the 6% employees pay matched by the employer at another 6%, and new taxes like medicare surtaxes on capital gains, and alternative minimum taxes are not created.

Then it would be a different story.

Fuzzy liberal math.

Where the wants of the masses have exceeded this nations wallet.

Yeah welfare and liberal ideology is destroying this country, and a person doesn't need to watch Fox News to see that.
