Windows 32 can use up to 4gb of ram not 3.

Technically yes but you'll never actually see 4GB usable.

I have no idea why there is still a discussion on what to use.
Why would you use a BMW 316i when you can drive a BMW M3?

64bit is the future and more and more hardware and software is optimized for it.
If you want your system to stay relevant, you should always take 64bit systems.

There are no disadvantages, only advantages. In the beginngin (2009 or so) of 64bit systems there was the disadvantage of incompatibility, but now all software supports 64bit. At least I don't know a single one that does not support it or a single one where a 64bit Windows would not run a 32bit software.
