"Night Watch" by Rembrandt, brought to life

The Rijksmuseum museum in Holland had an idea: Let's bring the art to the people and then, hopefully, they will come to see more - at the museum. They took one Rembrandt painting from 1642, Night Watch and brought to life the characters in it, placed them in a busy mall and the rest you can see for yourself!

I don't know if we could pull it off here in the states. Notice the muskets at 0:29? Most American mall patrons might consider this a terrorist act, pull out their own guns and start shooting.

EDIT: I live in Chicago, I can imagine it going either really bad or really well, can't imagine a middle ground.

It's like TNT's the "Drama Button". I love stuff like this and sometimes it even wakes people up to thoughts or ideas they've never explored before.

Oh . . . I don't know about that.

I'd like to think that anyone sufficiently bright to get a gun permit would recognize the period costumes and realize that something special and probably entertaining or related to advertising was afoot.
