And I have to agree with one of the twitter responses, the title makes it sound as though women walked on the moon too

I know we all make blunders --well I do --but with public/media hanging onto every word that is said/printed/posted by Obama & his people, one would think they would be more in tune & cautious to any mistakes such as this

But in 1963 we hadnt walked on the moon yet, and that was the year that the Equal Pay Act was signed. See kinda what they were getting at there, in 51 years sine the Act was signed, we have accomplished something as great as putting a man on the moon, but have not yet managed the equal pay thing...

Also you guys are kind of disappointing me here on ATS, no where in the tweet does it say that the moon landing was in 1963, but it seems everyone somehow believes that it did. I am no Obama supporter, actually usually very critical of the administration, but in this case, not warranted.

Can you explain the psyop? I don't understand the significance of Kennedy being president in 63 and Nixon in 69. What is the purpose of this? What is the message? Sorry my skull must be very thick. It's difficult to get information through into my brain sometimes...

I agree with you. They probably did it on purpose. And they are counting on Obama supporters not knowing that the date is wrong ... making sure that they bring in the democrat, Kennedy, and not the republican president at the time of the moon walk.

Then again, that would mean that the Obama team putting this out actually is smart. And I'm not convinced of that.

If they had meant Valentina Tereshkova, they would have used her picture.

Cameras haven't been invented in 1963 yet, so they had to use a photo from 1969 to represent 1963 and they used a man's picture to represent a woman because women weren't allowed to sit for pictures until 1974, when they got the right to vote.

It was no mistake. JFK addressed the nation about the civil rights act back in 63. Never studied American history in school huh? You would think the Moon picture would have given you the hint about Kennedy seeing he was the one that gave the speech about going to the Moon back in 62 at Rice University.
