ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A rare mouse found in New Mexico and two other western states now has protection under the Endangered Species Act, and that's expected to aggravate ongoing battles between the federal government and ranchers over water and property rights in drought-stricken areas.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued an order Monday listing the New Mexico meadow jumping mouse as endangered.

Regional officials with the U.S. Forest Service have acknowledged they will have to put up fences or take other action to protect water sources for the mouse. Ranchers say that could force them to abandon their grazing allotments.

The move has enraged one rural county, where the sheriff has been ordered by the county commission to cut the locks. The U.S. attorney for the district of New Mexico was hoping to ease tensions enough to avoid an escalation like the armed standoff last month over grazing rights in Nevada.

Typical. They only care about the environment and other life forms when it suits them. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, when's the next revolution gonna kick off? It's well overdue.

This is not about the environment or other life forms. What IS it about - THAT is the question. Federal land grab, maybe?

Where is this mouse found? How about EVERYWHERE in New Mexico and beyond. Pretty obvious what this is about, and a mouse isn't it.

Darn, I'm a mid-eastern mouse. I won't get any benefit from this at all.

This is what's REALLY going on... (*See pic below)

Recently, Obama just seized another 500,000 acres of land and declared it a "national monument". This time in New Mexico. This is the 11th national monument designated by President Obama, taking away more land each time. For comparison, President Clinton created 19 new monuments and enlarged three others, while President George W. Bush used his power under the Antiquities Act 5 times.

This means that no one can live on the lands they have taken and it will be closed to vehicles and construction.

If you want to know what's REALLY going on and why they're taking away all the land, take a look at this Agenda 21 population control map for the USA...

Agenda 21 is an action plan of the United Nations related to “sustainable development” and was an outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992, where 178 governments (including the United States) voted to adopt the program. The number 21 refers to an agenda for the 21st Century. It is a comprehensive blueprint of action to be taken globally, nationally, and locally by organizations of the UN, governments, and major groups in every area in which humans directly affect the environment.

They are systematically corralling all of us into very small designated areas where we will be allowed to live. This is very real and it's happening to us right now. This is what our overlords have planned for us.

This is what the map says:

Simulated Reserve and Corridor System to Protect Biodiversity

As Mandated by the Convention on Biological Diversity, The Wildlands Project, UN and US Man and Biosphere Program, and Various UN, US Heritage Programs, and NAFTA

Mapping for the area East of the Mississippi and South of the Ohio Rivers is at various stages of completion

Color Key:

RED: Core Reserves and Corridors – Little to no human use.

YELLOW: Buffer Zones - Highly Regulated Use.

TURQUOISE: Normal Use Zones of Cooperation.

ORANGE: Border 21/La Paz Sidebar Agreement of NAFTA. 124 mile wide International Zone of Cooperation.

PINK: Indian Reservations.

GRAY: Military Reservations.

BLACK DOTS: Cities over 10,000 people.

Some major highways and Interstate rivers are also shown.

Taken from the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity Article ??,* United Nations Global Diversity Assessment Section 13.4.2.2.5. US Man and the Biosphere Strategic Plan. UN, US Heritage Corridor Program. “The Wildlands Project,” Wild Earth 1992. Also see Science “The High Cost of Biodiversity,” 25 June 1993 pp 1963 to ?? and the Border 21 Sidebar of NAFTA. The very high percentage of buffer zone in the West is due to the very high percentage of federal land.

Anything to reduce a farmer's cattle ranch and grab land! Mice are vermin that destroy crops and storage silos. They should be erradicated like the vermin that run our country into the ground. Making it harder for ranchers to put food on our table simply raises food costs. But that's probably what the big beef producers want. Cut out the little guy and get more profits for themselves. In the pockets of politicians. Sorry, just my rant. I feel sorry for farmers in this country. reply to: LrdRedhawk

This is the feds standard tactic. Happened a while back in oregon. There was a land dispute between loggers and the feds.suddenly, white spotted owls were found there and needed to be placed on the endangered species list.

No more dispute. Loggers got the shaft.

And in just a matter of years later, the owl was removed from the list.

This move was predictable.

Damned good then! There is more to life than destroying the environment for personal short term financial gain.

Why should someone make a fortune in money by destroying what belongs to all?

But I guess you 1 percenters all stick together? Who cares about the world so long as you can make billions of more pounds ....

I think we all know why they have been ordering all of those arms and rounds...

It's only a matter of time imo until these situations escalate and also rise in frequency. Thus the "justifications"...

Fed VS State. Wild west throw down a-go

Eta not to sound like a fear monger or anything, really. I just feel like the pieces are not just falling in place; they have been, and long enough where the picture is starting to take form. So easy and sad to see

This is about controlling new construction. In Kalifornia they have been going through this for years. I was involved in project creating blueprints and consulting that was halted over a sand flea. Look what environmentalist did with the spotted owl. Now they nest in cell towers. Control, control, control.

The state of New Mexico needs to push back really hard on this. The land belongs to the state. There is no provision in the U.S. Constitution that allows the feds to grab state land and claim those lands as federal. U.S. Gov't property ownership should be highly restricted; not at their whim, and only as voted on by the citizens of that state. PERIOD.

The reason for this will be money or oil or fracking. Profits from some nefarious underhanded scheme is behind it somewhere.

Even Polar bears have been removed from a protected list just so Statoil can drill for oil in the Barents Sea and nearby to Bear Island, which is a wildlife sanctuary to polar bears and bird species. This habitat is now at risk of being destroyed to make way for profit. If there was an oil spill, it would reach Bear Island in less than a week.

We've always understood that Polar bears have been at risk of endangerment since Methuselah was a twinkle in his dad's eye, now all of a sudden they're not endangered (or whatever 'list' they were on). How convenient. We were told that there was a 25,000 Polar bear population, and they became 'protected'. Of course, although 25,000 sounds like a lot of bears running around, the fact that they were placed on, or stayed on some sort of 'endangered' list, infers that this number isn't a lot of bears at all.

But now we're expected to believe that they meant 25,000 IS a lot of bears. And they weren't really on the 'endangered' list at all, they were on a list of species which are 'in danger' of becoming endangered.

So now they're not endangered, which means Statoil got its licence to pollute the Arctic areas.

Corrupt is too mild a description for these people. In fact I have a hard time believing they're even human.

That's our Federal government, save the mouse and starve the citizens. What a joke. I say, all beef that is sold to the federal politicians and administrators must come from these states with the locked up water that the cattle graze on, lets see how much the Feds they like their veggies !!!
