Longtime lurker here, just want to say hi! I am currently an instructor at a large University, and heard about this site from one of my advisors. I am terribly obsessed with many of the Topics that are posted about regularly here, and look forward to contributing!

We don't say Mahalo here in the Southwest ????

We say Hola or Yá'át'ééh

unless we meet at Starbucks in which case my first words to you would be.
"Get your hands off my double latte!"

Welcome--- glad you could join us ;-)

Hello Dimdown!

You'll find around 100 forums here, covering everything from Ancient Civilizations to Breaking News to Political Events and much more. All are welcome and everyone can contribute equally, so please come right in and make yourself at home!

For now, you are only able to post to existing threads or, if you need help, send private messages to Staff as well as the Complaint and Suggestion form. Once you've contributed some posts to threads around the site, you'll be able to make your own threads for others to enjoy.

There are also a few threads you'll want to look over as soon as you get the chance. They are important and helpful too!

both Phoenix & Vegas are in the 'high desert'

with the Hawiian headgear I lean towards Vegas being your locale...but the Large University tends to bespeak ASU or even Tuscon in the semi-High Desert

oh never mind i'm ticking off/looking for patterns like a die-hard CT'er is determined to do
have a nice time here

And from your subject line, you're clearly an Art Bell fan. In fact, I was expecting this thread to contain some Art Bell news. But I'm not too disappointed.

It's also nice to welcome a new voice to the forum!

Welcome to ATS. It seems that there are more of us in the Southwest than I originally thought. Must be something in the air.

Ah shoot, thought you were Art Bell...

Man I miss him on the airwaves lulling me peacefully to sleep.

Oh and welcome...

Mojave desert here.

I always liked the desert. fewer criminals in the rural areas.
And easier to get rid of the ones that are here
