Amy Adams or Jennifer Lawrence I think are excellent from the current crop, from The fighter to American Hustle for Amy, from Katniss in the hunger games to Mystique in X-men they are both equally brilliant. Faves are The Fighter & X-men DOFP

Dame Judy Dench - Amazingly powerful actress and a huge presence when she is on screen, truly one of the greats. I thought her performance in Skyfall was very under-rated. Skyfall gets it.

Helen Mirron - Can do everything from be the queen to being a bad ass and comedic in Red. Fave is Red

Julia Roberts - Her career had some brilliant movies from Erin Brokovich to the iconic Pretty Woman. Fave Flatliners

And an actress I've loved since smokey and the bandit - Sally Field. Another great actress and very under-rated in general until she got recognised for her contribution in Lincoln. So Smokey is my fave of hers.
