I have it running super stable at these speeds with only a 1 degree increase in temperature. Damn this Volcano 11 is a great cooler!!! Also my scores in 3dmark increased a bit.

My laptop does what i need it to. Surf the web and stuff and does photoshop and helps me with school. It can play games but not the newest high end games. Warcraft 3 is bout its limit. Anyone know were i can buy a grafics card for a laptop and where they could install it at.

As for the vidoe card debate we are having ive read all the recent gaming mags and in all of them the FX beats the radeon. They were comparing to two most recent cards.I know in the past radeon whooped Nvidas but withthe cards. But Radeon lost thes battle but it is only a minor thing they will win the war.

That's a nice setup you have as well Ocelot. Looks like a screamer. Oh, and yeah the Raptor drives are great. Super fast. The only thing is, I believe the only come in 36GB sizes. That may have changed, but when I bought this one last month, it was the only size.

I usually don't do too much OC'n on my machine. Although I did just install a new Zalman HSF on my processor today. That should allow me to OC if I want to.

I am quite happy with my system right now. Although, I know if a few months I will be itching for a video card upgrade. Right now it looks like ATI, with the 9900 Pro. Due to come out later this summer. I am not really ready to plunk down $500 on a card right now that is marginally better than the one I have now. I just want to be able to run Half-Life 2 with AA and get decent frame-rates. I drool just thinking about that game.

Yeah that game is going to be awesome!!! Im saving my $$ already and by the time November comes around im going to assemble a new machine with AMD's new CPU The "Hammer". And Im going to give the one I have now to my younger brother. I will save my money and get a 9900Pro when they come out!!! Gotta love speed!!

The cards you saw was probably the 5200 model... thats the cheap model in the FX series.

Well I got a AMD 2100+....it is fast but I have 5 coolers in it (including power supply and graphics card) and it is loud like a vacuum cleaner...

LOL My computer has 8 Fans running on it. 2 Panasonic Panaflo 80mm fans in the front to cool the case and the HD's. 2 Panasonic Panaflo 80mm fans on the back of the case. 1 Thermaltake Smart case fan for the CPU. 2 80mm fans on the PSU and 1 fan on the Radeon 9700. And I am modding my case this weekend to add a 92mm Fan on the case window to blow air directly over the radeon for xtra cooling on the video card. Since I use Panaflo Fans they are super quiet and move a lot of air.... so my case is not really loud. The only fan I hear is the CPU Fan.

I did a bit of digging and I found out the $99 card you talk about is the GeForce FX5200. I also did some research on the performance of the card and its not that good. Even the Geforce 4 ti4200 was able to beat it in almost every test. So if you want a good gaming card I would skip this one. If you're not looking to do any heavy gaming with it then it could work for you fine. But not for the serious gamer.
