Just like religion is. LGBT is a part of life so unless you want to teach your kids to be crazy little agoraphobics - stop whinging.

What act are you talking about

Maybe he's referring to this vaudeville act:

But I don't know what he has against it. I rather like it.

I don't know why if somebody thinks a certain way you automatically assume they are christian. Maybe you could fill me in? Or maybe theres a bias of your own that needs to be addressed? We need not all agree with each other. Regardless of religious affiliation or lack there of.

Well, if they aren't christian, what's their excuse for being so ridiculously stupid? At least christians have the feeble excuse of a few sentences in their holy book written inane control freaks thousands of years ago.

What on earth would compel any normal person in society other than religion to have such distaste for something so benign?

Well you mentioned control freaks. Now I respect everyones right to privacy. What I don't respect is people telling others how to think or how to act. Or for that matter using the state or public education to enforce it.

What was your idea about control freaks?

I could sort of dig it until you started in on the socialist feminist line. While I'm not necessarily liking the name, I don't really see the problem with a group that is for giving women an option to be treated and live a little better than high class cattle or have the economic means to leave an abusive spouse.

That's really my main problem with much of the right. If they want to stick to traditional gender roles and all that other stuff, that's great, and that's fine, and good for them. I don't want to be that, so please stop trying to initiate social policies that will force me into that role. Stop with the social attitudes that put the onus of rape on the victims, be they men or women. Stop with the ludicrous policy of denying abortions, but then also wanting to deny any help to the women at all in the form of welfare, stop being okay with policies that let men get stuff like Viagra on insurance but that don't cover birth control at all even though BC has a lot of different medical uses besides preventing pregnancy, all while they sit there completely mum about the guys that aren't stepping up and instead just badger the women and go on and on and on about how the women are whores.

I am sick of hearing how all these social problems are the fault of women, women, women while these people sit there are say that men are the natural leaders and all that crap. If they want this nation to be fixed, then shut up, start realizing that a nation of female leaders means an absence of strong male leaders, and act accordingly.

As for this, the only thing that I see wrong with it is that it is age inappropriate.

I agree 100%. The kids are a bit young for this, I think. Otherwise, I don't see what the big deal is.

The right does seem hellbent on alienating half the voting population.

Why does it have to be about the right or left?

The government are supposed to allowed to be governed by the people they are elected to govern, to serve the people.

What has anything to do with left or right? A line in the sand. Its ok to to enforce laws. Its not ok to make up laws and bribe people to enforce them. Perhaps thats for another thread but, united we stand and divided we fall.

No your contradicting yourself. I never said anything about Valentines day.

Speaking of tolerance. Im willing to bet that you are only tolerant of those who share your politically correct values. Well I don't and I never will, so get over it. There is nothing you can ever do to "fix" or change me. So just get over it..

Wow, talk about piss-poor reading comprehension; were you homeschooled too?

(Apologies in advance to anyone who takes homeschooling their children seriously and tries to use real curricula.)

And you've got absolutely no basis for your statement ... not unlike the rest of your statements regarding the OP article that you apparently didn't read fully ... and it's really EASY to see what your "politically correct" values are, they just happen to be regurgitated daily from Fox and the RNC Echo Chamber ... and frankly, why do you think anyone ANYONE would want to change YOU or your beliefs? You're words on a screen, at best.

Some would call that an inflated sense of importance ... others, megalomania. You can think whatever derivative crap drops from the Murdock-Limbaugh-Hannity-Et. Al. sewage pipeline suits you, but when you post drivel on an open forum, expect people still in touch with reality to call you on your ditto-headed rants.

I see from your post that being bigoted , offensive and painting people with a broad brush isnt solely relegated to christians....whats your excuse?

You automatically assume that a certain group of people have to think a certain way, must have certain ideas about things.... at least thats how youve proven you just categorize people....

Do you not think thats a bit hypocritical of you?

What people think and how they behave is no business of anybody else's - unless it infringes another's rights.

And teaching something in school that might not be in line with the parents belief systems , whether you agree with them or not, isnt infringing on THEIR rights as parents?

Just because you dont agree with a certain group of people doesnt mean their rights arent valid.....

Freedom and infringement have no preference.....it doesnt matter what ideology it is....

Of course it is, but how else are we going to sort this utter mess out?

What is the damn problem with some people to think their rights are more important than others?

Give me one good reason why LGBT or their issues should be ignored? Tell me who are the people who wish to ignore them? Why?

Are you friggin serious? They literally demand that their religion is taught in schools and forced upon everybody, but when one thing which they have issues with is presented - they go bat sht crazy.

You're not exactly giving your argument much credence.

Forcing a Christian curriculum would cause an uproar of epic proportions from the left.

But teach a progressive curriculum, not a peep.
