I know there are many more Inca roads undiscovered in the jungle around Cuzco, mostly leading to Machu Picchu. Who knows what could be found by the other side of the road, maybe Paititi.

Slide Show Here

A new Inca Trail has been discovered. This leads to the area Wayraqtambo, Tambo of Winds, located in the back of Machu Picchu.

One has a length of about a mile long; has between 1.20 and 1.40 meters wide, these measures vary according to the topography .

Still to be cleaned of the brush and trees that cover it. Currently, they can only see retaining walls up to three meters high. It is noteworthy that one of the most impressive finds is a tunnel of nearly 5 meters long, which is located at 2,700 masl

The head of the Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu, Fernando Astete, said "It is one of the finest examples of Inca engineering . It has been verified that the tunnel was built after the main road collapsed. So our ancestors fractured rock and began the work. " The tunnel is still operating , despite 500 years .

Apologies to OP.
I downloaded the pic to my desktop and it looks fine, it seems my browser is having a problem with .png files.

Wherever I am hiking, I never like to follow the path. You will never discover anything there. You will just get to see what everyone else has already seen.

Poke around for settings referencing transparency when viewing .PNG's. Pink is a common color used to depict a transparent layer by a lot of photo editing software.

Hi ichigokunbaka.
Monitor is not affected by picture type, it just displays whats presented to it via the graphics card

Hi parad0x122.
You're correct about pink being used for transparencies, thanks for reminding me

ETA: Tracked it down to graphics card driver update. Fine with old drivers but pink with the new drivers.
Only happens while viewing in the browser though (FF). Will use the old drivers and wait for update.

Hi parad0x122.
Just thought you might be interested.

I was led astray by the drivers

Dont want to be of topic in this thread so I'll keep it short.

With firefox open. Type into the address bar about:config
This opens a window FULL of settings.
gfx.color_management.mode = 2 is wrong, it should = 0
It controls how ff manages colors.
Problem solved

Again, apologies to op

Ah yes, the old about:config. It's amazing how one wrong setting in there can throw your system all out of whack, lol!

Apologies to the OP as well, de-rail will now be avoided :-P
