Thank you for the update. The whole situation is .....just sad.

Its the engineered destruction of America with the overload of illegals on welfare. Plus, they will vote us to become a socialists country, not even knowing the history of Americanism.

nope not at all. the thing is people in poorer nations believe that by going to the US or Canada, they will instantly be rich, that wealth just falls out of the sky and everyone there is rich beyond belief. i have have talked to many people hoping to be able to go to the US or Canada for this reason (seeing an obvious North American they seem to think i could help get them in). they see that people earn over $8 per hour which to them is a HUGE pile of money, yet they don't realize or can't understand that prices of everything are that much higher as well. i do my best to make them understand, one nice thing about having McDonalds around the world is it is a great help to compare prices there to here, in a way that shows them that difference, cigarette prices work as well, i have had people almost have heart attacks when i show them that one pack of cigarettes is more expensive there than an entire carton of smokes here. many hope (and then do the best they can), to send tons of money back home to help out extended family, they want to buy land and build houses for them out of this wealth as well, some even have plans to become like the 1% and come back to lord over everyone else with that wealth after working a few years. thinking that they will still be paying the same prices for everything that they do back home. they also do not understand that jobs are about as scarce there as here, and that many jobs don't pay enough to live off of. there are companies that don't help with this, as they try to fleece money out of them "helping" them immigrate (and many are complete scams). this is one such add that i got on facebook, i think it is one of the scams since i can't see wal-mart trying to hire offshore workers for their stores in Canada.

sorry it lost half of my post.

now if you look at the add i showed in my post you will notice a couple things. some of these jobs are of the low pay variety that can't even support the worker. while yet others are "skilled trades" that require certification in Canada (or the US), yes those same "skilled" jobs do exist in their home countries, but their standards are not on par with Canada or the US and require upgrade courses and certifications which these people can not afford before they can be employed at them. now with some companies (or shall i say scams), will "help" with, though it is mostly bunk and not real. and all the while these companies talk up about how rich these people will be if they PAY these companies for their help. they also make it seem that there are not enough workers for all the abundance of jobs available, and that anyone can easily become rich regardless of education. training or job they work at. sadly the money difference and is ignored leaving these people to think that goods will cost the same low price as in their native land and with the high pay (to them), they can live like kings, and send lots of money home so their families can also live like kings. it doesn't help that for so many years only the rich could afford to travel and so that helps with the misconception that ALL people in places like the US, Canada as well as other "first world nations" are rich. a misconception these rip off artists help keep alive.

i have several friends who married people from poor countries and most have tales about how their inlaw families expect them to send them lots of money. one is a teacher (in both the US and Canada depending on where he can get work), and we all know how well they get paid, yet people in his wife's family think he makes a small fortune and is just being greedy since he doesn't send them lots of money, they just don't understand that even though yes he makes a hell of a lot of money compared to them, that he can barely support his family because of the differences in prices.

another friend was visiting at the beginning of summer a couple months back, and i was invited to a family get together celebrating the fact that a few family members who live in North America were visiting (a rare thing as it is a couple thousand dollars for each person to fly over). i was talking to one of their relatives that lived in Canada and she told me how much "fun" she was having with family members wanting her to bring them over. again they seemed to feel she was just being greedy when she refused. she refused since she well knows about the lack of jobs especially ones that actually pay a decent wage. but they didn't want to believe her.

this misunderstanding about how rich people from "first world countries" are is one of the biggest reasons people from poor countries want to move to the US or Canada and other "rich" countries. they just can't see that they won't be rich if they go to them, and that they might even be worse off than they are now. it is an extremely sad situation. i feel bad for all those who have traveled abroad and discovered how wrong they were about how things are in the "rich countries", and had all their hopes and dreams crash down around them as a result of these unrealistic expectations. put yourselves into their shoes, would you move to another country if you were sure (no doubt in your mind), you were going to make say $400 per hour (even for being a Wal-Mart cashier), that jobs would be plentiful no mater your education or experience, and that things would cost the same as in Canada or the US? would you pay someone say $5,000 to help you go there?

You are correct, our money is worth so much more in their country. I have worked with many illegals over the years and every one of them sent money to their country, saved for years and are now or will be eventually going back to live a good life. There is also a lot of fraud unfortunately where woman lie and say they are a one income household while their spouses work under the table and together they are above the poverty limit but receive cheap housing, medical, food etc. We have legal families on a list who desperately need cheap housing and have to wait years. This is unfair.

Kids are pouring over the border by the thousands and are being bussed to other cities. They are homed up in crowded conditions and we are overwhelmed trying to process them all. This is a dangerous for these people, but their own country as well as our own is encouraging this.

“They’re not all little kids,” Del Cueto, points out. “Some are 17 years old and they have possible ties to gang members yet they will be relocated in the U.S. with family.” A U.S. Senator who sits on the powerful Judiciary Committee says an unprecedented crisis is unfolding at the border. “This crisis is a direct and predictable result of the President’s sustained and deliberate campaign to dismantle immigration enforcement,” Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions says, adding that the administration has announced to the world that immigration laws won’t be enforced and, in particular, won’t be applied to foreign youth.

I can't believe what a mess this has turned into and sadly it will only get worse.

This is silly to listen to anyone with half a brain and the sense God gave a goose try and say they don't know why this "influx" is happening or how this could happen. It's so disingenuous as to be laughable out of any in leadership. None are so young or wet behind the ears they don't know about the 1986 Amnesty or the fact the Southern border was essentially bum rushed in the period leading up to it, to make what became a very real "before/after" deadline to those who got it and those who were swimming the river, as always with no amnesty for being late to the party.

Well, no one is going to be late THIS time it seems ..and God help us. 95% of those people may well be honest, decent people looking for a better life and able to contribute plenty to America as new residents.

Screening that 5 % is too damned important to let the flow run free like opening the gates 100% on a flush dam. That 5% likely among the bum rush this time very likely holds the worst sort of surprises. After all, we damn sure have real and lethal enemies in this world, and this loopholes anyone on Earth to get in here right now, if they can make it to Northern Mexico.

This is bordering on something I'd describe with a T for how far beyond simply being about migrant workers this is fast spiraling.

The pictures i saw on the news this morning were strange, like the ones in the video on this CNN site but the whole time they showed the "kids" under the metallic blankets, not one "kid" squirmed or moved at all...it was so unnatural.

Now they say they are taking them to military bases, that also seems odd to me.

They are taking them to military bases because other places are filled to capacity. They say they are seeing numbers they have never seen before. It's insane!

I'm appreciating the info from the people that are seeing it first hand. I'm a little sickened by the warehousing of people that I've seen in photos, it's reminding me of slave ships, and the idea is not being helped by some of my pro-amnesty friends arguing that we "need cheap labor".
My god, that' what high schoolers are for.

I've thought that about the fallacy of America being a 'rich' country, it is expensive to live here, and getting more so. I can't think of a worse time, with inflation and taxes and joblessness, for someone to come here at such a disadvantage.
